NORTY Mens Swim Trunks - Watershort Swimsuit - Cargo Pockets - Drawstring Waist

I purchased these trunks along with the Kanu Surf Men's Barracuda Swim Trunks (also on Amazon for about $5 more) to see which one fit better/was better quality/etc. and found that they are essentially the same trunks. Same patterns, same stitching, same fit. However, these are made of a softer material and feature functional hip pockets - the Kanu brand had very shallow and mostly useless hip pockets. The material used for these trunks are very comfortable, more like soft running shorts, and can be worn around as normal shorts without feeling out of place or uncomfortable.I'd give it five stars except I haven't worn the trunks for very long or even washed them yet, so I have yet to see how they hold up over time.

My husband has a few pairs of swim trunks, all of which are probably at the very least 10+ years old. It wouldn't surprise me if he's had them since high school with his collection of old T-shirts he refuses to retire. LOLKnowing he wasn't going to buy some ANYTIME soon, I had to do something. After reading reviews, I was slightly concerned about him having enough room for the legend and the boys below, so to speak. He's 6'5" with a 36" waist so I ordered a large. They fit PERFECTLY, he looks great and loves them!!

I got these because my husband's old swim trunks were wearing out. We're both not so young (sigh), so the trendy cuts and colors don't really work. Husband is 5'10", approx. 207-214 lbs and carries his weight in the midsection. He liked the length of the bathing suit (11"--board short length, which hits him at mid-to-just-under the knee) and the cut of the legs (not too straight or tight but didn't billow/flare out at the bottom). He was pleased that the mesh pockets were deep enough that he can get his hands into them and actually get a wallet in, too. He's happy with the cargo pockets (although I've never seen him use them in a any swim suit). I'm sure he would give the trunks 5 stars, but I'm writing the review so I control the "pen. " For me they are only 3 stars, for one reason: the material is thin and if he were going to wear the trunks for anything more than sitting on the beach, light wading into a calm ocean or lounging in a hot tub, I worry that the material will tear easily. I bought the same brand several years ago (probably at a big box mart, either the W or the K variety) and the material was more substantial, more like old swim trunks that you could wear like shorts, ride a bike wearing, play sports in, catch on a door handle and not worry that they would rip. The material of these seems more like a good quality liner that you'd find on the inside of a woman's blazer (back in the day). To be fair, many swim trunks are in this thin polyester material these days, but thin it is. So, 4 stars is my averaging of the spouse's 5 and my 3 stars. For light uses it's fine, and for the price it's an average pair of swim trunks.

For the price, these swim trunks do the trick.. they cover the naughty parts and feel like a typical bathing suit with an inner net. You wont want to run a marathon in these babies, but seriously who wants to run a marathon in the first place.Despite my wishes, sadly they dont enhance the size of the equipment beneath. When you take that first step out of the water, the ladies won't fall over themselves to catch a peak of the beautifully shrink-wrapped man sausage.. they'll just get what they get.Moreover, the pocket is small. Maybe if credit cards were the size of business cards, it would do the trick. But if all you can afford to carry around is a pack of tic tacs, boy you're in luck.The trunks run a bit small. If you're packing a muffin top, you can expect THAT to be enhanced.. sadly not the magical result I was gunning for.

I think these are perfect. I live in Hawaii and these are the type of clothing folks where here. I / We call them “crossovers” Between a bathing suit and shorts. They are perfect all around wear. These have two hip pockets, two cargo thigh pockets (Great to store wallet / securely) and rear back pocket. Also, have great inside mesh lining so no need for underwear. Great cut too over knees. I bought my first pair recently and surely will return for future purchases. “ONO” as we say here on the Islands

I ordered an XXL and it was preposterously small. As in, perhaps a Medium in boy’s size. My 10 year old daughter, who is very slender, tried it on and it fit her pretty well. I’m not exaggerating at all. It looks like they sewed in the wrong tag.I gave it two stars because it does seem fairly well made, especially for the price. Hoping the refund process goes well.

These are much lighter than expected. The fabric is very light I am concerned how long these will last. I am a 33/34" waist and the fit of the medium is OK, maybe a bit more snug than I'd prefer for normal daily wear as shorts, but probably good for swimming.

Bought these for my husband who is a larger athletic build (6'3", 250lb) in a size xl and they fit fine in the waist, but snug in the butt/leg.He typically has the same trouble while buying jeans so I'm not terribly surprised. Other than that these are great shorts, but if you're a more athletic build I would just go a size up. The waistband is elastic and adjustable so going a size up would be fine.
