The best mechanical pencil out there
I have been using these since I could afford to buy one with my own money. They were $6 over 25 years ago, and worth every penny. Never had one brake, but they kept getting misplaced over the decades. My oldest daughter loves it as much as I do. Nothing has ever broken or failed that caused me to buy a replacement. I like the grip has evolved from a solid texture to a ribbed texture

Love the way this pencil feels and writes.

I have used these for decades.
I have used these for writing and transcribing sheet music since I entered music college in the late 1980s. The grip is comfortable and I can advance the lead without missing a beat. I pair it with a click eraser.

I will use this forever. Even in the midst of the digital oncoming.Something about a pencil in hand. But I always lose the eraser cap.

Pencil for an Engineer that needs to erase alot
Handy access to the eraser. Pentel quality. They've documented my designs for 30+ years. Someone should package them together with engineering graph paper!

Only pencil I use.
Pentel makes THE best erasers that do not smear. This is the pencil I have been using for years to draw with; it's not too skinny or too wide, it doesn't have the twist-eraser that has a habbit of sliding back into the pencil, & the eraser is not too small.Like the other reviewer, I also have a problem with the metal clip; it make callouses on the ringfinger of left-handed users. But the only mechanical pencils I can find that don't have the clip are too slender.
