Great book but had trouble with the assessment tool - found a solution
I am partially through the book and so far i give it a 5. However, i did have trouble signing up and logging into the assessment tool which was one of the reasons why I purchased the book. I saw Mr. Phipps on Oprah's Super Soul Sunday and liked what he had to say. None of the links on the website would work so I thought it was a browser issue. I use Chrome on a PC with Windows 10. I tried Explorer, and downloaded Firefox with the same results. I know a little bit about web design and HTML, so I viewed the source code and found the links to the sign up and log in page. I was able to access the assessment tool from there and figured I would share it with others if they were having the same problem. The sign up page is: [...] this is the page where you can put in the code from your book, and the log in page is: [...] Once you sign up you will get an email. Good luck to you.

Good for the Soul
Just started reading and thinking about Mr. Phipps revelations and inspirations...but the website for the personal assessment tool does not work; I hope it will be corrected in 2021. Having that should prove helpful like doing your homework. Hopefully, Amazon and other booksellers will alert him as I saw it was an issue back in 2016.

A Search for Greater ...More....Purpose Aligned.
As I watched Wintley Phipps on television, I knew his message aligned with my direction. I was immediately led to purchase the book and it was...indeed....no error that I picked it up. I believe we are on a constant quest for greater, especially once you realize your passion. Ultimately, each step towards greater, leads us to more. Your Best Destiny invigorates your next steps. It empowers you to do what you must to be your best you. It illuminates your commtiment to faith which ultimately says, you can do or be anything your heart desires.Wintley goes deeper than the surface, exposing the fear that prevents most from moving forward. Its an honest heart to heart with you and yourself If you are willing to do the work....the end result is your best destiny. Read this book and remind yourself how important your gift is - not only to you but to the rest of the world. You have a place and a purpose, its up to you to follow through with the action. Thanks Wintley...this I am certain, is only the beginning!

I loved this book
I loved this book. I gave it a four because I cannot access the assessment. The code is given inside the back cover, but when I got there it says it is expired. I would like to do the assessment since it seems to be an integral part of this book. I'm hoping someone can get back to me regarding this. I don't see anywhere to contact the author or someone else. Thank you.

A Great "Book of the Month" Selection
We used Wintley's Phipps' Your Best Destiny as the Book of the Month for the church I serve as Pastor. We spent time discussing the eight "Pillars of Character," and our church members examined how they could enhance their lives and the lives of people around them by devoting themselves to improvement in relation to each of these pillars. We are pleased to recommend the book for individuals and for groups of people to find renewal and new joys in life. At Life's Crossroads
I am finding myself at a crossroads with life -- personal, spiritual, and professional. This is a great book to reflect on where you are with your personal life journey. When you come to 'Is this all there is?' and continue to have a feeling that your life was meant for more, this is the book. You have to be honest with yourself and the direction of this book will help you fine tune your best self.I truly recommend this to anyone whose ready for more.

Both an inspiring man and inspiring book. I realize ...
Both an inspiring man and inspiring book. I realize that Phipps is a pastor, but I didn't realize this book was so based on Christian ideology. My hope was it would be more spiritually focused and allow the reader to use the tools outlined through their own spiritual beliefs. While raised a Christian I have developed my own version of "God" and found that his very traditional beliefs in the traditional Christian story hindered my being able to translate his ideas into my world.

Wintley Phipps and the New Revivalism.
Pastor Wintley Phipps has produced a multi-media experience for the modern day, which should not (as one of his references states) be the only book you read this year; it should be the book that you choose to read over and over, with constant reference and making your own personal notes - along with your bible of course! Praise indeed. The book is a part semi-autobiographical journey through his life, in a personally-witnessing kind of way, that envelopes the reader with the preciseness of the author's beautiful spiritual recollections. Then, the book shows how learning took place through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the effects that this spiritual growth may have upon our friends, family and moreover, upon strangers and the rest of the world! The book hints at predestination in a marvellous way. And finally, the book teaches from a heart, truly blessed with the fruit and virtues of the same.In a high-school manner, there are questions to answer, appendices and a web-orientated assessment tool (by Sedlacek and Duffy) for further guidance, that are there if you find that you want a little more help with anything; or perhaps just more information on a subject of particular interest. You can take or leave these assessments, but I found that answering the questions was enlightening. Now, from a fundamental, theological point of view this book's message is profound. The author modestly states right at the end, that he has based it on 2 Peter 1, but within a few pages I had already referenced my detailed notes on Isaiah 11:1-2, essays on the Fruit of the Spirit, and many concepts introduced by the Greco-Pauline virtues or catechisms of the New Testament. The reason for this, is that Wintley Phipps has very skilfully selected his personal (and it is intensely personal) ethos of God, and shared it with us. He refers to these as the eight pillars of Godly character, and I believe that he and his researchers have done a great deal of study on over one hundred similar attributes. He has chosen 2 or 3 Gifts of the Holy Spirit, 2 Pauline virtues, 2 fruits of the Spirit, and 2 combined attributes {these being wisdom with knowledge, and patience with perseverance}. You will have to decide for yourself how the book itself shows the benefit from these aspects of scripture and how we gain confidence, hope, fulfillment, impact, peace, purpose, and joy from them. Pastor Wintley Phipp's piety, in the true sense of this ancient Hebrew word, is assured by our own spirit-filled enjoyment and experience of this awesome book!In a slightly wider sense than this book (although I would love to hear the author's take on the such), 'revivalism' or more precisely, 'pietism' is a topic that should be in the heart of all Chritsians seeking perfection. And I earnestly hope that this book will entreat you to look more closely at transformation and renewal in the Holy Spirit, or as Wintley Phipps puts it by "resembling, reflecting and revealing the character or ethos of God". The extent to which we (as a global multi-denominational Christian society) have filtered and diluted-out the gifts of the Holy Spirit by semantics is saddeningly anti-scriptural, and the dissolution of knowledge-based piety has seemingly increased anger by our lack of understanding of where fortitude, courage, temperance and self-control actually come from. Pastor Wintley Phipps has written a modern take, which is very similar to several 16th through 18th century books (out of print), such as "Christian Perfection" by the Rev. John Wesley- himself an advocate of pietism and revivalism.Comparing Pastor Wintley Phipps with John Wesley is intended to be a great complement.

it is good but two thirds of the way through and I ...
I was really excited to get hold of this book after watching an interview, it is good but two thirds of the way through and I am starting to feel like it's one big to do list (in how we behave) which is helpful but not as inspiring as I thought it was going to be. Also the codes to use on line for a self test were not available to me not sure if it's because i am UK based? but that was a bit disappointing too as reference is made to it a few times.
