Highly recommend both Vol 1 & 2
I bought both Volume 1 & 2 for my children back in the early '90's on VHS. My children loved them then and wore out the tapes so that I had to replace both volumes a couple times. When we saw Steve Green in concert my then 3 year old got to sing with him on stage with other children. She knew every word.Fast forward 26 years, I bought them for that same daughter's foster children. Her five year old foster son who had no exposure to Christianity prior to coming to live with them loved these DVDs. Her 18m very active foster son watched an entire DVD. Her 12m old foster daughter "dances" with her hands and "sings" along with the children on the DVD.So, I highly recommend both Vol 1 & 2 for children. If you can only buy one, I would recommend Vol 1. I feel that it is slightly better and I remember my children preferring that one a little more than Vol 2. The other thing that I would say is, be aware that this is the 1984 NIV. If you are having your children memorize from the 2011 NIV there may be a word or two different but I think it should still be close. I haven't checked. In Vol 2 there is one song that has a skeleton (Proverbs 17:22, A Joyful Heart). That being said: children love it, the melodies are catchy, the visuals reinforce the scripture verse, the words are easy to understand and the verses are repeated enough in the song (only scripture) that it gets into their hearts and minds.

Great for visual learners and anyone who desires Truth for their family
The songs on here, I have yet to hear the like. Scriptures sung in original, catchy uplifting tunes by precious children with Steve Green singing a little throughout. A mother of 6 first shared the album with me over 10 years ago, and my two boys at the time ate every word up (because it's scripture). It is soft and calming yet catchy and fun, with songs that stay with you and help all (children and parents alike) to better understand the Scriptures mentioned. My additional younger children are now singing these songs throughout the day, even when it's not playing, and me too! One child of mine in particular seems to be a stronger visual learner, and this was a Win for us. And that child is equally singing the songs on their own from watching/listening to this, and learning to Apply the message appropriately! Thank You Lord

I didn’t know there was a second one
It’s not as good as the first, but that could be because I was raised on the first and didn’t know the second even existed.

Not as good as the first volume
Very bummed. I enjoy the first one for my kids! So ordered this one , not as good as the first. The first is filmed with nice outdoor scenery and a few nicely lit indoor scenes. This one however uses the majority of scenes in a dark, almost creepy set. The lighting is soooooo dark and horribly lit (its hard to explain). Im disappointed. Also one song uses a skeleton prop, which i feel is also odd and I would have preferred them not using it. Something i find odd for my kids to watch

The content is brilliant (I've seen it before) I just wish we could ...
Unfortunately this was advertised as a region 2 DVD but it won't play on a UK DVD player so it must be a region 1. The content is brilliant (I've seen it before) I just wish we could watch it.
