Works perfect
This thing works great for my well tank that supplies our house. I put the low sensor about 2 feet from the bottom and put the high sensor right at the top where the tank necks down. When i'm filling it and i hear the alarm go off we cut the well off, then drain a few gallons of water and the alarm shuts off. I'm glad because this allows us to save water and not overflow the tank. The alarm is extremely loud. It is high pitched so the sound doesn't travel super far, but we are about 50 yards from the alarm and can hear it go off, we leave the window cracked to make it easier to hear. At point blank this thing will make your ears ring. I do wish there was an indicator that whenever you first turn the alarm on it beeps one time to let you know the batteries are charged. I wonder about that battery dying one day and we don't realize it, we rely on this to tell us if our tank ever gets too empty. I'll probably end up replacing the battery once every 6 months just to be on the safe side. Well worth the $35.

Useful alarm a a very low cost
This is a high/low water level alarm. I only needed the high water level alarm, so I eliminated the low level float. The only downside was I had to cut the sensor wires to attach to the piping. It worked very well. The alarm is really loud so it can be heard from the basement. If needed you can extend the wire to bring the alarm body to a location more suitable for your needs. Hope this is useful!

Does the job as advertised.
Easy to install and broad range of alarm sound level.

Easy to install and works well.
I like that the volume control/on-off switch is easily accessible on the side of the unit. The siren is SUPER loud so I set it to about 1/2 max volume. I'm not using the "high level" alarm so I taped that sensor so it would not accidentally be set off. By the way, that sensor can be used to test the battery and/or trigger the siren so you can adjust the volume levels to your liking (without having to fiddle with the underwater sensor.

The item worked for me, but it's made from inexpensive materials.
The build quality could have been better. You can tell that the product came from inexpensive material. In the end, after addressing the bulky build, it worked for what I needed it to do.

Incredibly easy to install and it's a wonderful design.
I use it for my pressure washing business. The alarm lets me know when my tank is full, so I don't have to monitor it, and it also lets me know when I am getting low on water so I have time to rince off any soaps or chemicals. I have been using this alarm for a year now and it has healed up impressively well. Definitely a good deal.

Functions well
This water level alarm functions according to how the manufacturer said it will. When using as a low level indicator the hallow cylindrical float moves upwards as the float assembly is placed in to the water. As the water in tank or container drops below the level of the float, the float drops and triggers the alarm. The installation instructions are very clear. There are small marks on the top of the cylindrical float. For low level indication the marks on the float face upwards, for high level indication the marks face downwards. This is a good product for the price.

Cheap and poor design.
Looking for an alarm to notify if the basement sump pump tank was going to overflow. I'll make this work, but would not recommend it to anyone else. The wires are soldered into the internal circuitry and so the nuts to clamp the float switches to something are useless plus they're installed upside-down??? To replace the 9volt battery you will need to remove the cover from the backing. This requires you to dismount the detector from the wall and then remove 2 screws from the back of the unit before you can get to the battery. Who designed this thing. Only positives are it was cheap and the alarm volume can be controlled and made quite loud.

Fitted in a sump around a swimming pool. Works perfectly to clear the ground water. Light and audible alarm warnings are great.

I wanted a single (high water) alarm on my septic tank, and this one comes with two sensors--high and low. It's easy to defeat the 2nd alarm, just cut the wire. This device requires a 9V battery--it comes with a cheap dry cell, which I don't expect to last long. I recommend putting an alkaline in right away, because it's not easy to replace the battery once installed--you literally have to unscrew the alarm from the wall to replace the battery. Also there is no test feature to let you know if the battery is good or not when you turn the unit on (perhaps I could rig up the second input in this case, but that is extra work and should have been built in.) The alarm does have a bright flashing red LED and the volume can be turned up to ear piercing at close range so I'm hopeful it will work fine. It's also nice that this unit doesn't require line power, so it can go pretty well anywhere. The magnetic float switches seem to work ok when I tested them. (It's likely this unit would work with any closing-circuit type sensor, but I haven't tried yet.)
