I will return this. There were 4 problems: it was too light, the pieces did not match the photo, it was missing extra queens, and the board was creased.I wanted nicely-weighted pieces suitable for speed. These aren't even heavy enough to weigh down the board. The description says total weight: 4.65 lbs. Actual weight: 1 lb 5 oz. The chess pieces themselves weigh about 1 lb.The pieces do not match the description. Consider the bishop, for example. In the description photos, its head-cut is a shapely curve that is wider and shallower at the bottom than at the top. The pieces I received merely had a straight-cut slot.My set also only had 32 pieces, it lacked the extra queens.Additionally, the board was packed badly. It had several creases that will never come out. It should have been rolled up around a cardboard tube. Instead, it was loose inside the carry-case with the pieces and got crushed/bent in shipping.It was not all bad. The pieces seemed sturdy and they all had felt. The board was the right size but not right color. And, completely unasked, this came with a simple black carry-case labeled "King". But these are not enough to make up for my not getting what I ordered.

nicely weighted and good stature, I have gotten positive comments on this set from my opponents. I did have to shave off some of the sharper edges on the queen's crowns, just to make the queens a little more friendly to handle.

Playing with these makes you only want to play with sets this size. Great quality.

Wonderful chess set. I've purchased a few sets that are large and weighted.But this set, takes it to a new level. It dwarfs my otherIt is significantly larger, much more weighted.The pieces are beautifully detailed and catches a glow that I didn't expect.I plan to use it teaching chess to K - 3 grades.

This guy is right. All these chess sets have crappy pieces, but not this one. Stylish pieces on a tournament board. Not those typical tournament pieces.

For the price this set is not bad. The pieces aren't as heavy as I expected, but are heavy enough and are a good size. The only complaint I have is that the vinyl board arrived smelling horrible, like chemicals and plastic. I left the board outside in the sun for a few days and thankfully the smell went away. Also, because the pieces were stuffed in the same box as the board, they too smelled but only for a short while.

These pieces are the perfect size and style to to be easily differentiated …you. don't mistake a Q for a B or something. . I like to play at coffee shops and the roll up board will be a lot easier than taking my old wooden one
