The GQ EMF-390 advanced multi-function digital EMF ELF meter is designed and developed by GQ Electronics, Seattle, USA. It can be used RF signal detection, wireless camera detection, hidden wifi camera signal detection, GSM cell phone signal detection, audio bug detection, GPS tracker detection. The device integrated features include three axis Electromagnetic Fields, Electric Field, Radio Frequency and Radio Spectrum Power Analyzer. The meter is able to identify/recognize the common source from EMF/RF measured, such as Power Line, WiFi/Cell phone, Cell tower, Microwave etc. It also comes with built-in audible and visual alarm. It can be used for EMF, ELF, EF, RF detection and monitoring both indoor and outdoor, as well as in other similar environments. EMF-390 has data logger feature. The unit can log/save detected signal into internal flash memory every second. User is able to download it later to do the analysis. It can continually monitor the radiation while it is connected with a USB port as power supply. When the device is connected to a PC, PC software can download the radiation data to the computer and the user is able to analyze those data later. The device also has a high contrast black/white LCD module and one front LED indicator. The unique GQ RF Browser feature visualizes the RF radiation precisely on screen. With RF Browser, user is able to see high speed RF signal, cell phone transmission, estimated Digital RF transmission data in bytes and RF power spectral histogram. The meter has installed multiple sensors to ensure maximum scale/range measurement and highest accuracy. With open communication protocol, user is able to send commands to the unit to get all data remotely. This let the device be easier to integrate to any other system, The device is equipped with a USB port, utilized for communication and external power supply/charging of internal rechargeable battery.

The EMF-390...
looks fair enough. It is a US device that works better than I expected. The picture given does not do it justice.I Have been checking the EMF on various items and looking at the RF output from computers etc.The one thing I'm stumped over is the measure of EF. If I hold the unit in a certain way I end up measuring high levels. Is that me? I will have to get used to this item before I can give it a better review.I've already used the meter on one task where I needed to check for levels of EMF on a charging battery in a laptop to ascertain whether there could be high levels damaging the adjacent hard drive.

Easy to use. Long battery life. Unknown accuracy.
Works well. Successfully detects magnetic fields, electrostatic fields and RF.I have used it to easily locate electrosmog sources in an industrial, office and home environment. It revealed some surprises and allowed me to formulate a strategy based on more than guesswork and assumptions. However, as with all cheap consumer meters, the accuracy is unknown (calibrated accuracy costs a lot of money). So it's difficult to use as a gauge of long term low level exposure. But it will certainly allow you to test if your changes and protective measures are flawed.Well worth the money. A good buy.

Good for the Money
Easy to pay nearly double for a device with smaller ranges. Good battery life. Leave backlight on as timer too short at 30". RFs less than I thought but EFs higher. Keep one metre away from appliances like fans and radios. Keep 50 cm away from power sockets, even when unused. My fusebox has constant high pulses of EF, even though everything is switched off -- keep well away. Biggest surprise was a 30 m cell-tower: only 5-10 mW/m2 (with pulses to 20+) a mere 30 m away! WHO safe limit is 100 mW/m2 but mid-band 5G already exceeds this in busy CBDs.

works very well
Hi bought this for the sake of the wife having had a pacemaker we were both told that she was to stay clear of the microwave what a shock the range of the emf from the microwave and when it was used on convection modeafter that i could not stop myself testing other household gadgetskev

Very responsive and easy to use
Great little device with a great battery life.Best price on on the web.Used this on a smart meter in mums cupboard and was shocked it pitched at 298. EMF. will be getting this taken out as its dangerously high. Would never have known.Fits nicely in bag or pocket to take anywhere for curiosity testing..You will be shocked at your xmas lights and led bulbs. :(Best purchase for my piece of mind..

Not 5G ready!!!
Please realise that this device doesn't measure 5G in the higher bands. 5G frequency goes much higher than the 10GHz this device is limited to. For 5G we need devices that can measure to 60GHz.The seller should remove the 5G as it is false advertising.
