High quality tool that gets jobs done very quickly!
This thing is AMAZING!! I'm not cutting plexiglass, but rather just hard ABS. It literally gouges out HUGE strips of plastic in one go. What took me 5 minutes with a utility knife before now takes 30 seconds with this tool. Truly a great product, and worth every penny!

Super Easy Way for Clean Cuts
Worked really well once I ruined my first piece! lol Super easy way to cut plexiglass or acrylic. I cut both 1/8” and 1/4” with no problem. I did go over my score line quite a few times but someone with more strength wouldn’t need to I guess.

Very sharp
Works well. Very sharp. Have to score the sheets 6-12 times before they break easily along the scored groove.

Sharp cutter that works but needs a cover!
Like the title says this is a great cheap tool but it is very sharp. A cover would be a nice addition in the purchase but since it doesnt have one id invest in finding some kind of solution on your own. There are probably 3d printed ones available on thingiverse. I would not rely on using the packaging as it is thin plastic that eventually cracks (maybe you could reinforce it with tape or something but best to get a solid cover of some kind.

Tool Fine - Returns Not
Tool was fine. Seller made returns of extra product difficult and expensive. I would buy same tool from a different vendor.

This Scores Big Time
I needed a tool to score acrylic. While I have the appropriate electric tools, I wanted a hand tool for situations where I want to be very exact and work slowly. I used this on some UV non glare “museum grade” acrylic, 3/32” thick. It has a nice sharp blade and worked very well, scoring nicer than a utility knife might. It is great to have on hand, as a very inexpensive, but useful, tool.

Changed the way I cut Acrylic!
I design and laser-cut Acrylic clocks, so I cut down 36" x 12" Acrylic sheets daily. Up until today, I would hold a carpenter square and score it with a single edge razor blade. I am really surprised I never cut myself. Sometimes the razors would last for 10 or so scores, other times they wouldn't even score once. After 9 years I had to try something else. I was searching for glass cutters which eventually lead me to this, (I didn't even know they made Acrylic scoring tools). I decided on this one because it didn't use replaceable blades and the reviews were positive. First I tried a 1/8" thick piece of Acrylic: I marked the material and using a carpenters square and the Scoremate, I scored a line lightly twice and then 3 more times using a bit more pressure each time. Done. Important part>>> I turned the Acrylic sheet over, placed my foot just to the right of the score line and lifted up the left side. SNAP! Perfect! I then tried the Scoremate on a 3/16" piece: 5 scores, flip it over, SNAP! Fantastic! Thank you Fletcher Terry, this is awesome. Reviewers that say they had to use this for an hour to cut through didn't read the instructions. It's not supposed to cut all the way through, it's not necessary with Acrylic or plastic.

Easy and effective
This worked great for a project I had. Fyi. I only made two cuts on a piece of 1/4 plexiglass. I scored it a LOT. Super easy to do. Much cheaper and easier than using a jigsaw. Plexiglass jigsaw blades are far more expensive for a small project.
