Beautiful Illustrations
Gerta Uller's illustrations invoke the feeling that you want to be in the picture. Calm, serene, beautiful settings give such pleasure to a child. What could be more inviting than to be out in the forest climbing this magnificent tree.

Beautiful book for kids
I love all of Gerda's books- they invoke creativity and imagination. They are very Earth centered and teach about the outdoors and a simpler, more connected way of life.A must get for your children and always a well received gift for others.

Lovely book!
I bought this book for my 3 year old cousin. Three years later it is still one of her favourite books. Gerda Mullers beautiful and enchanting books are a must have. I can highly recommend all her books. Stunning pictures and a welcome change from the usual books available for young children. If you like Gerda Muller 's books, you may want to look at Elsa Beskow's books too.

Fantastic book
We as a family really enjoyed this book. The story was good, but we really loved all the little extra snippets here and there than where factual and educational. As a homeschool/Unschooler I highly recommend this book for using as an easy learning tool that is fun and a joy to read for both child and adult.

Lovely story..
Really lovely story, a complete journey throughout the Season's, all centred around a magnificent Oak Tree, and the story of the children who's lives evolve around it.Lovely aspects to consider and great for having discussions about the Season's and time, in a tangible way that young children can understand. Just the right length for younger folk and engaging illustrations to admire as you peruse each page. Highly recommended.

Not my choice
I found this book disappointing it somehow missed the mark. I think maybe the story was disjointed and there could have been more about the tree itself.

When my daughter saw it she loved it too
I brought this for a friend as a thank you gift. When my daughter saw it she loved it too. We didn't get a chance to read the story as it was a gift but the book looks lovely.
