Considering the times, this is actually a pretty good thing to have if you want to get temperature check on pretty much anything you want. This could be used on food, people, and room temperature. This is a pretty well built device. It is very light, sturdy, and pretty easy to use. It has a very easy user interface. You have three buttons on the front. You have temperature, mode, and sound (in order from left to right). You can pick between Fahrenheit and Celsius . You can pick between reading the room temperature or a person's temperature. You can turn the sound on and off. It is a very basic interface. Make sure that the mode is correct before taking a temperature or else you will get an off reading or none at all. You will know which mode you are on by looking at the top of the screen. if you are using the room temp mode, it will show a house symbol. If you are using it for body temp, you will see a person symbol. When taking a person's temperature. the screen will light red if it is a high temperature. and green if it is normal. If body temperature is too low, it will just show the word "Lo". If it is doing room temperature reading, it will just show the temperature as is. It will not show high or low. When reading a person's temperature, it takes less than 3 seconds. You just point, pull the trigger, and you will get a reading. It is pretty accurate as I also compared it to other temperature readers. This temperature gauge also comes with a nice bag to carry or store the temperature gun. It runs on two AAA batteries which are included with this. You just need to remove the plastic tab. Because this does not take too much power per reading, I assume it will last for quite some time. It hasn't run out of batteries yet and I did have a pair of dead batteries to test if it alerts you and it does indicate when the battery is getting low. It is very easy to replace. You just slide open the bottom of the gun and the batteries just slide out.Pro:1. Easy to use2. Accurate, sturdy design3. Has a good carry case so you do not have to leave this out.Con:1. The white/tan material is prone to yellowing from skin oil or sun light.Overall, this is a very good and accurate temperature reader. If you are needing something for screening during this time, this is definitely the one to get. It also works great for cooking as well as getting a read on the room. I compared the temperature with my fan and it is pretty close to it.

Yes we bought this to do quick temperature checks due to COVID, and yes it does OK for that purpose. It is simple and easy to use although clicking through different possible modes (C, F, etc) can be a bit of a bother. We mostly leave it in body temperature/Fahrenheit mode so not a big issue. Battery life has been good, reliability, i.e. always getting a reading, is good as long as one remembers to be within a half inch of the forehead. The instructions say it will read a bit low, and we have found this to be true - Don't know if it is also true for other non-contact thermometers. We did a number of comparisons with oral digital and mercury thermometers for orientation. The mercury and oral digital thermometers always agreed within 0.1 degree, and the non-contact thermometer was pretty consistently 1 degree low. Still, as it is instant, easy and doesn't require the degree of sterilizing oral thermometers do, we find it useful. Since purchasing, the manufacturer has reached out to us and supplied a replacement thermometer. This is impressive, and shows a solid commitment to customer satisfaction, in response to which I have increased my rating.

It’s always good to have an extra thermometer in the house for second reading during this pandemic time. Always wanted this type of thermometer for my house, so gave this one a try.To my surprise, it is so lightweight (I’m all about light weight) and easy to use. We compared the reading to our old one we have at home and the reading are the same (so is accurate). Feel good on the hand. 2 different measurement modes; forehead and object (we use to test the AC air and food). Being able to mute the thermometer is a plus for us (making night time temperature check a breeze). Clear LED display, make reading easy. The size is not too big and too small, easy to fit into diaper bag and medium size purse for travel. I recommend it!

It worked very well. Very fast to get temperature readings... Better than traditional thermometers (including electronic ones). The readings are very repeatable... Even if the distance and Angle are different. Another feature I like is that you can set it to be used for forehead measurements or objects, and I think it will be calibrated for its intended use... . It's nice to have a dual purpose (although the object's maximum is 100 degrees Celsius). I did notice that with the traditional electronic thermometer I had, the reading on my forehead seemed to be about a degree higher than the reading under my tongue. . I believe this is typical when comparing the forehead to the tongue. It's normal for different parts of the body to be different. It's a great tool. Value for money

I am pretty sure I don't have to explain why I purchased this item. It is a MUST HAVE in this COVID-19 pandemic situation. This product is very friendly used, without reading the instruction you can just use it right away. All you have to do is put in the AAA batteries, which come with it and use it. The screen will tell you the color if you don't know what is the average normal temperature. But of course, the manual will indicate inside, with all the details. This product not only can be on your body but also your pastry too. Since it's a non-contact sensor you can use anything you want to test the temperature.

It’s really useful to have one of this thermometer during these days, you can have a quick scan and get the temperature in just seconds.It’s super convenient, either for your family or if you need it at your work, or for other occasions.There’s not much to say about this product, it works as expected, and it’s easy to use.Keep in mind fever is not the only symptom of COVID, someone can have it & not have a fever, but it helps to early detect posible cases.It’s super accurate and easy to use as I said, and the price is fairly reasonable.I highly recommend this product, specially during this pandemic. It’s a must have.
