Why pay more?
This disk brake combo works really well and was very easy to install. Make sure you use the right adapter for the brake disk if you are changing rotor size to a larger one. I had gotten an off brand adapter for 180mm rotors and the pads contacted in the wrong place diminishing braking. The shimano adapter cured that problem. I used Teyssor rotors and they work very well. A bleeding kit may be necessary to get any sponginess out of the lever pull if needed. I had converted from rim brakes with koolstop pads. That rim brake setup was almost just as good as using disk brakes. This set up did come with metal pads. I get no squealing with it and it stops really well.

Excellent brake
I mounted this brake on a mountain unicycle, and it has served me well for seven months of hard use now. Obviously, on a unicycle you only have one brake, so reliability is paramount. (If you’re curious, the brake lever mounts under the front of the saddle. And yes, you have to lean back hard when braking hard.)This brake offers excellent modulation, a reasonable amount of take-up, and when you when you need it to, it stops with authority even on steep downhill trails.

Good Upgrade
Shimano Deore M6100 that replaced Shimano MT200 was a nice upgrade. There was nothing wrong with the MT200 it worked fine but you couldn't really control the brakes due to lack of modulation. It is easy to lock the brakes. The Shimano Deore M6100 have better control of the braking power. I also like grey metallic finish look way better than the dull semi-gloss finish of the MT200.

Shimano el producto numero uno
una diferencia palpable entre los mt 200 y estos, suaves al tacto y muy buen agarre

Not the most high end but highly functional
Easy to install. They aren't exactly one- finger, stop on a dime good but I have been happy with Shimano Deore stuff for years.
