I recently bought the Penn-Plax Bird‑Life Cuttlebone for my birds, and I’m really pleased with how well they’ve worked. These cuttlebones feel more durable and less brittle than others I’ve tried, so they don’t break apart as easily when my birds use them. My birds took to them right away and seem to enjoy chewing and pecking at them throughout the day. It’s nice knowing they help keep their beaks healthy and trimmed naturally. They’re also easy to attach in the cage and stay in place without falling out. My birds love this cuttle bone! I have gotten them many times and have never gotten a broken one. They are a nice size and my boys chow down on them as soon as I put in a new one, which I do whenever it gets smaller. I don't wait until it is too small because they seem to like the "crispy" edges of a new one and I want them to get their calcium.

My birds sure chew on this! I'm not a bird so I don't know how it tastes to my budgies. But this is like a cuttlebone is supposed to be. Attaching it to the cage was good. I've had other cuttlebone where the metal was not long enough to wrap around the cage wires. This one holds nicely and firmly.

Exactly what you expect, same as you'd get in a pet store, just less expensive. They are individually wrapped. One was broken, but I think I did that taking it out haha.

This is made from cuttlefish bone powder, not a full cuttlebone. It will give the birds what they need, but I prefer the bone. The holder is not easy to use. I am glad I had a big plastic holder where you just stick them in and secure them. I am not yet convinced of the quality. I will have to see I just put it in their habitat. I am wondering about thw durability as well. It seems like it would crumble easily. I do have a senior bird and I think this consistency might be better for him. We will see.

My birds enjoy the Cutle bones and nibble them right down to nothing is left.

I read that these are also good for gerbils to chew on, gives them a little calcium boost - I bought this for a poorly furry who hurt his leg (possible fracture) thinking the extra calcium would do him good. Can't say for sure that the cuttlefish cured him, but he's all better now and he and his brothers have really enjoyed chewing on them!

My parakeets love these and I love the way they come in a package of 6 so I can stock up. They are good size solid cuttle bones.

My friends Rainbow Lorikeet loves them.

This is by far the best cuttle bone product that I've bought for my bird. The price is great and the plastic holder that comes with it is sturdy and holds up to my conures aggressive chewing.
