Exceptional tweeters to replace stock 2023 Kia Niro EV base audio system, fit behind panel.
Growing up in he 80s-90s I remember Soundstream were always considered competition grade high quality audio. I believe they still are today. Recently leased a new 2023 Kia Niro EV, it's ridiculously quiet and smooth, but the base model without the Harmon Kardon audio upgrade it garbage. With audio systems being heavily integrated into the consoles these days it's not as easy to simply upgrade audio components anymore. One of the easiest things you can do is swap out the speakers, and in most cases you can do it yourself. So that's what I did.Since I wanted to keep everything stock looking in compact spaces, I picked these tweeters because they have built in capacitors, were small without a bunch of extra depth and width for mounting, and I trust the Soundstream brand. I ordered various speakers in stages so I was able to test these little tweeters on their own before replacing my woofers. The Niro has two separate 1" inch tweeters up front and two shallow 6.5" inch woofers in the front doors (FYI: the window glass does slightly encroach the hole when down). The rear doors have two slightly smaller than 6.5" inch woofers in the back doors, but can easily fit deep 6.5" with an adapter bracket and the window glass is not an issue when rolled down, no separate tweeters or sub. FYI: all of the 2023 Niro's EV, HEV, PHEV utilize the same body style and speaker fittings, only difference is the upgraded Harmon Kardon audio adds a subwoofer to the trunk tire space and uses nicer speakers with amp.The stock Kia bracket for the tweeter with capacitor is odd and couldn't be repurposed without tearing it apart, but there was plenty of space inside the panel to hide the Soundstream tweeter without doing a surface or flush mount. I wanted to keep everything hidden and looking stock and didn't want to cut any permanent holes. I cut out a strip of plastic from an old cutting matte to make a holding bracket/strap, drilled two holes to hold it down where the stock bracket screws fit. The tweeters come with adhesive backing, which I put on to help hold in place against the homemade plastic strap to align with the stock grill. I clipped the wiring harness from the stock tweeters, put spades on the wires so I can easily swap back all of the stock speakers if I want to when I return the lease. Perfect fit.One of the tweeters was dead on arrival, but I quickly received a new replacement through Amazon and tested both before installing. Been running the tweeters for over a month. They are excellent quality and I don't need to adjust the EQ at all, can run them at full volume no problem, which is more than loud enough for these old ears. Clean smooth crystal clear highs with no distortion and not overly piercing, sharp or shrill. Technically they are under powered using the stock amp which is probably 35 watts at 4 ohms, but it's not an issue and gives plenty of room to produce error free operation for years to come, plus I'm not looking to win any sound competitions. HUGE upgrade from the stock audio junk, and pair well with upgraded door woofers and a powered sub. I would definitely install these Soundstream tweeters into any audio system.

Nice little speakers
Replaced tweeters in 2016 F150 and 2014 Odyssey, in both cases had to use pvc cement to get into place. Only issue I have is there is no documentation on which wire is + vs -, but I guess it doesn't matter with a tweeter with no bass? I just randomly connected the wires and don't have any sound quality issues. Very nice high end sound.

Attack type highs enough for any car.
Hooked up to 25 RMS Tesla radio; went from okay to high phonics. I hooked them up to my Yamaha reciever first. They were high at low levels. Hope you have a 10 band EQ or more. You will need it to adjust from max to mid range power curve. best purchase of the year for me. make sure you are using the correct RMS because they dont need power help..just signal. Pure aluminum tweeter...I left the soft domes too for low level detail fullness. I have these mounted on sides front so make sure they are angled correctly. They are small but really powerful...but if you like balanced...dont get these...stick with the soft dome..but dont expect power from a soft fabric. Came in a nice case and brushed finish; not shiny like pic. i painted them black though.

Crisp highs, very nice!
These are nice little tweeters. Just hooked them up to an aftermarket head unit and they sound great. I'm sure once wired to a small amplifier they'll sound even better! Can't beat the price either! Very pleased.
