Multi purpose meter
The clamp meter is a good build multi function meter, is a must to have in your toolbox with accessories and a instructions booklet explaining all the functions of the instrument with a Good clear readout. Comes with a handy pouch to protect it , good value for the money.

Not for Pro use but pretty good.
I have mostly Fluke multi-meters, my oldest and the one I still use most is over 35 years old and still works perfectly. Before I retired I could justify £350 plus for each of these and they have paid for themselves many times over. But now when I needed an amp-clamp to check the integrity of glow plug circuits on my motor-home I had the choice of another new Fluke, to get a auto electrician in, or to buy this meter. Two of these options were very expensive one was not. Guess which one I chose. The manufacturing quality of this meter is not great but the cost was so low that had it only lasted one job it would have been worth it, although I do not as rule advocate buying to throw away. Actually I have used it a lot, partly because its small size makes it easy to get the amp clamp in small spaces. It is nowhere near as substantial as a Fluke but its not a twentieth of the price. So there has to be compromises somewhere. The plastic is quite flimsy and I assume the electronic components are probably not grade 1. As someone who regularly used to drop his meters off buildings and into running engines I don't believe it would stand up to heavy usage simply because its not armoured in the same way. And again because of the thinner plastics I would be wary of using it on higher amperage's,. But so far not only has it worked but it has worked well. So if you do not need a professional grade instrument that actually requires significant investment then I have no reason not to recommend this item.

Super Clamp Meter, Does the Job, Could be Quicker on Resistance
Needed a clamp meter but something affordable, not to expensive, and came across this KAIWEETS one. It works great, simple and easy to use, simply pop the batteries in, turn to the setting you want, and it's ready to go. The features I love are the backlit display, and the live measurements it gives. Having postive/negative cables are a great multifunction tool as well as I do testing for resistance now and then, the only little issue is that it can take a couple of seconds each time you make contact, so its not instant like my standard multimeter. Other than that, very reasonable knowing that some clamp meters are £80+ and this does the same job

Great value for the price
The KAIWEETS Clamp Meter HT206D has a surprisingly rugged feel. It's fairly heavy and does a wide range of measurements. It is autoranging, which I like because I don't have to set a range of amps before using it. I've used it to check the current being drawn through a cable and it worked as expected. The letters on the screen are clear and it is well backlit. It comes with 2 x AAA batteries, but I put my own Duracell ones in because I prefer that make. The clamp meter comes in a black nylon cloth case - not sure how long that will last as it's not padded. The cardboard box it came in is strong though so I'll keep it in that! It's easy to use, but there are instructions if needed.I can't believe how cheaply they make these things and I'd recommend this for any keen amateur DIY-er for checking car battery condition etc.

A great test meter.
I ordered this yesterday specifically to monitor current from my solar panels. I've been using an old multimeter but the test leads were getting a little warm. I was wondering if clamp meters for dc current were available for a reasonable price now, was amazed to find they are! This unit way exceeds expectations, quoted accuracy is 2.5% on dc A, at 7.5A measured on my expensive AVO dmm, this unit is just 50mA off, so 0.7%, always assuming my old AVO hasn't drifted much since its last cal of course. Impressive. Coming with test leads, a thermocouple and a 3 year warranty, has to be good. Recommended.

Amp Meter?
Well it measures, looks the part and works. Only down side is the constant re-setting to zero, a bit worrying on the correct readings and how precise they are?

Excellent Dc amp clamp
Works a treat, great for campervan owners that like to monitor their off grid battery capacity etc.
