This is a great book, I wish I could understand more
The authors are sooo intelligent, I respect them. The book is a deep dive into reality processing, logic, heuristics, probability…all that. No wonder we make bad decisions…you gotta think too hard not to.No really, this book is reallY excellent.

An excellent review of the science on rational decision making and ...
An excellent review of the science on rational decision making and common irrational foibles. More detailed and academic than a pop psych book, but still very approachable for undergraduates or anyone with an interest in the field. This would not be a good choice for first exposure to rationality, behavioral economics, and decision theory all at once. If you have some exposure to one of those and would like to expand your knowledge of the field, this is the best book out there. Kahneman's Thinking, Fast and Slow got me interested. This book satisfied. Will definitely reread again and again.

Interesting Enough...
I got this because it was required for a course that I'm taking, so it's not exactly like I was passionately driven to buy this book. I don't particularly care about psychology so the explanations and figures in the book are still boring, but the book does provide a stimulating insight into how we make decisions (it helps that the book isn't a textbook per se). But if I had just bought the book for the fun of it, I think I'd still only feel so-so about the content. Then again, this is coming from a psychology-apathetic perspective, so I don't know how someone who's interested in the field would feel.

This is a very nice expansion of version one (by Dawes) of this book
This is a very nice expansion of version one (by Dawes) of this book. Well worth adding it to your library if you found the first edition/version of interest.

Got it for School, Read it for Pleasure
This was assigned for a graduate course, but I found myself reading even the parts that weren't required - it was that interesting! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good read. Not only is it well-written and intriguing, but it also taught me a LOT about my biases and how to avoid falling into those traps in the future. I find my decisions to be much more well-thought out and fact-based now than they were before.

Psychology Text Book
This textbook is a hard read and you have to reread a lot of the articles over again to understand what is going on. But it's very small and when you need to go to college with it, it won't take up almost any space.

Good text book for Psychology
This text book helped me understand how and why people make the decisions that they do. Helped me understand myself and my decisions as well

Had to read this for class.
Overall, I thought that this was a good text book. I was taking a business decisions class at UCI and it was pretty good.

Excellent Read
Punchy, and concise, but full of good research and analysis for the cognitive psychologist and behavioural economist. A must buy.
