Very nice leveling base.
Very nice leveling base. I am replacing my 75mm half bowl and half ball leveling system, and using this with a Manfrotto MVH500AH fluid head. The reason I replaced my half Bowl/ball system is it wouldn't allow me to get my tripod as low as possible, since the Ball arm extended about 4" below the tripod.This leveling base has set screws that allow you to lock on the fluid head so it doesn't spin when trying to pan. When leveling, it move nice and smooth. It does add about 1" to the height and a little bit of weight compared to the half ball, but not a big deal.Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

4.5 Stars ... Fits my Robus RC-8880 Perfectly!
4.5 star rating . . . I don't have much experience with leveling bases, but I did some research and decided on this one. Beautiful craftsmanship and seems very well made. It drops perfectly in to my Robus RC-8880 tripod (the big beefy one); the tightener and the safety lock both work perfectly, as if this leveling base was made specifically for my tripod. As others have noted, there is no hook; nor is there anything underneath for you to attach your own hook to (they could have at least done that). As beefy as my tripod is, I probably won't need a hook - but I still took half of a star off for that. Otherwise, this is home run!

Nicely made, easy to use, just missing a weight hook
I am happy with the Leofoto LB-75S leveling base. It attaches very easily to my Leofoto Summit tripod legs and adds about 2" of extra height. The 3 set screws are easy to reach and do a great job at securing my fluid head to the leveler. The large butterfly ring for locking/unlocking the leveler's ball works well and is easy to operate. I only wish that it had an integrated weight hook on the underside, like the hook on the flat bases that come with Leofoto systematic tripod legs … a big missed opportunity in my opinion.
