Good quality product, but could probably get a better deal
These clips serve their purpose, so there's nothing to complain about regarding the clips themselves. They securely hold back both wet and dry hair, and can handle quite a bit of it. When you get your clips, the box they come in will say they're 2 1/2 inches long. This isn't false advertising on the Amazon seller's part; the actual clip part (the part that goes over your hair) is 2 1/2 inches long, but the length of the entire clip, including the handle, is 3 1/2 inches.Since the clips are fairly large, it's unlikely you'll find a use for all 12 of them at a time. These are also a bit harder to lose than those standard bendy hairclips you might have used as a kid, since they're pretty big and very shiny. That said, if these were sold in packs of 6 or 8, you could probably get a better deal. I ended up giving a few of my clips to a friend because I simply had too many.

Would purchase again
These sturdy little clips have a great hold on hair, but occasionally snag a hair in the hinge area despite careful placement. Product performs as expected: these clips were quite a bit smaller than I envisioned from the measurement (which apparently includes the grippy end, my mistake), but they can grip so much hair firmly, that it doesn't matter that they are small (I have a wild mane of curly hair, that has a mind of its own, so I have respect for anything that can hold a big chunk in place -I can even use just one of these to hold a french twist while in the shower if I place it just right, which is a marvel)! Not for fashion, in my mind, but good work-horses for personal grooming.

Sturdy metal styling clip
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for clips that would hold my (long, straight, sort of heavy) hair in place while styling it. Past clips have failed me by not having enough "hold" that'll keep my hair out of the way while curling, straightening, whatever. These have so far been good. I sometimes curl my hair with a flat iron and I do that by dividing my hair into three tiers, clipping up the top two as I work on the layer of hair close to the nape of my neck. These aren't super duper heavy duty clips but they have yet to let me (or my hair) down.

... attach to hair bows in hopes they would hold better than an alligator clip or french barrette clip
I purchased these to attach to hair bows in hopes they would hold better than an alligator clip or french barrette clip. If you are wanting to attach this to just a basic 5" or 6" bow, it holds nicely. I would suggest using a french barrette for "jumbo" hair bows. Also, these clips would be great for clipping back sections of your hair when styling.

Handy clips, grip and hold well
I use these daily to section off my hair for drying. I'm often a little lazy about the process, so I basically separate into really large sections, which is a lot of hair for one small clip to hold.. These clips look like they should slip more, but they grip and hold even decently large sections of hair incredibly well. I'll never need more than a few at once, but it's nice to have extras to leave in a travel case or to lose around the house somehow (which I'm great at).

They're great! My only complaint is that one of them ...
I use these clips all the time to clip my hair back while washing my face or deep conditioning my hair. They're great! My only complaint is that one of them is malformed and pulls my hair every time I use it, so that one is going in the trash. Otherwise great!

Good product/does have holes
I prefer the clips without the holes in them but I couldn't tell from the photo if they had holes or a longer opening on the clip. The holes on these are cut smoothly, though, so no hair snagging so far. Good spring action.

Rust.
They rust easily. I washed them and my plastic clips, and dumped them in a basin to drain and dry. There was just the moisture clinging to them, nothing pooling in the shallow bold - but they rusted. Unless you live in a warm climate where they will air dry quickly, you will have to dry them individually, or dry them in a toaster oven. I won't bother.Size is okay, since I wanted to do small sections. They grip well enough. They can be bent/adjusted so the jaws meet perfectly since they are metal, not plastic... but they rust.
