Excellent bulb
The recent version of this bulb doesn't have a stamp on it. It dims excellent using the Varilight Vpro dimmer, no noise. Looks nice when off.

Excellent replacement for a tungsten bulb - no flicker
Have a light fitting that needed a large globe and the tungsten one died - replaced with an LED - it flickered - presumed it was to do with the dimmer (I have no idea about LED dimmers and leading/trailing edge etc). Found this LED one that stated it works with either type of dimmer - just the job, it works and no flicker - an excellent replacement for the tungsten bulb...

Rugged 60 watt frosted dimmable output
Safe arrival on time. All as described. Not as bright an output as anticipated, so dimming capability of this type of lamp, which was deliberately chosen, will be less useful than expected. Cannot comment on dimming performance at this time, nor on the lamp's life. Satisfied with purchase and would buy again when requiring similar characteristics.

Fantastic Dimming Performance!
This lamp performs amazingly smooth when dimmed using an electronic dimmer! Highly recommended, thank you! I'm just going to order 2 more now! :-)

Not dimmable
These are not dimmable even if the description claims otherwise. Tried this after a full rewire of our lighting circuit. One of the biggest, most established British companies' brand new dimmer switch could not even fully turn this bulb off, let alone dim it. It works just fine with bulbs from other manufactures. Sent it back for a full refund.

Unsatisfactory
I bought two of these two years ago, and despite reasonable use (nothing like 10,000 hours) they have both started either flickering, or actually going on and off (one of them only actually fitted weeks ago). Such a shame, because they look perfect, but I am afraid they are a waste of money

In reality, product doesn’t look as globular as advertised. I was looking for a perfectly globular LED bulb for my Mooi Random lamp and thought this Compton bulb would be it but alas - it’s just as the pear-shaped as the competition. Also it’s filament type (strange given that the glass is frosted) so it’s much more yellow than I had wished for.
