Works great - no issues
With the onset of COVID, my children's school needed to do a temperature check on every student, every day. They were using a hand scanner, battery operated, which took about 4 sec/ measurement. They were going through a handful of batteries a day. I bought this canner, used the included USB-C to USB-A cable to connect to a wall outlet, and this was installed on the wall at the school. Then the children can just walk up to it, read their temperature in 1 second, no hassle, no fuss. Worked so well we bought a second unit and mounted it about 18 inches lower so the younger children can use it as well. Five weeks of school, 100+ measurements/day, no issues. I 100% recommend this product.

Easy to use, questionable accuracy
Sometimes this reads within 1 degree of known temperature as taken by traditional oral or forehead scanning thermometers. Other times it throws out random numbers like 95.x or lower. We have found it has been less accurate since the weather got cooler outside nd we walk up to it having only been inside a few minutes. Would recommend still, but think it will only be good for catching people that *really* have a fever.

Not Perfect But You Will Be Glad You Have One!
I opted to install the unit with a permanent USB cable to power it and I just keep it on! It may not be extremely accurate like the much more expensive models, but it does give you a good ballpark measurement. It is up to you to determine the upper threshold you are comfortable with. So far no one has come in with a temp over 100.2. most are below 98.6 with an average of about 98. I myself always register lower because I tend to sweat more so my forehead is usually cooler.

PLACEMENT IS IMPORTANT
YOU CAN NOT PLACE THIS UNIT IN A PLACE THAT IS A BIT COLD AS IT WILL GIVE YOU A FALSE READ OR AN ERROR.I KEEP IT NEXT TO MY SECOND INNER DOOR IN MY GARAGE SO I CAN MONITOR PEOPLE COMING IN AND SEE THEIR TEMPERATURE BEFORE THEY COME IN THE HOUSE, BUT ITS USELESS THERE AS IT SEEMS TO BE TOO COLD FOR A PROPER READING!

Great for businesses

With corona on your hands we've had to use contact less thermometers and this one is amazing because its always on standby and it auto detects when you're close by, and will take your temp in 1 second which is great for a business trying to get people in and out quick.

Easy peasy!!
Purchased two of these for our business due to our new covid19 restrictions. They work really well. I have one high for adults & one lower for children. They read really quickly, very easy to use. Love that my staff aren’t holding thermometers to anyone’s head- I find that aggressive and hate it so this is a perfect solution. They make a very loud noise too so you will know when it goes off. So glad I purchased these!

well its okay but the poster decal should have been included.
They should have included a posters indicating the distance to the forehead that we can place at the bottom. Some people don't know how it works without the manual. And also they should have an adjustable height bracket that will add to fit on it that we can install in the wall.
