Needs to be left on for longer than instructed, but works amazing!
This product was such a life saver! After I realized that one of my planters that I had set on my heirloom marble table had a metal bottom and water had gotten underneath, I set out on a mission to remove the rust stain that was left behind. I started by using just baking soda and water and as you can see from the first three images in the first photo, there wasn't much progress made from that. This product came in and I wiped the table down with water and applied it for the recommended 15 minute maximum time. You can see from the bottom right image in the first photo that the dark purple indicates a chemical reaction between the remover and the rust. In the second photo you can see that after several 15 minute applications, the darker spots of rust had been completely removed, although the larger spots remained. I'm impatient, so I started applying this remover for 2 hours at a time and then eventually moved to 4 hours at a time. From the images at the top of the third photo you can see that it started to dye the marble purple and it wasn't going away. After a bit more research I applied a poultice of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide (the kind that you'd find in a first aid kit), and left it overnight. You can see from the bottom of the third image that the poultice helped to remove the purple. So for several more days I would wake up, apply the remover and leave it for four hours, remove it, apply it for another four hours, remove it again, and then apply a hydrogen peroxide and baking soda poultice overnight to remove any residual purple left over. The final image shows the stain completely removed from the table! My only critique of these instructions is that 15 minute maximum, as I saw the most results after leaving the product on for four hours. I am so relieved that I have not permanently damaged my table. While you will need some patience (it's certainly not a one and done solution), this product really works!

Gets even stubborn rust stains out.
We had some bad rust stains on our travertine pool deck, but they came out pretty easily (2nd application was necessary on a particularly stubborn spot).

Total Fraud
Easy enough to apply, though it’s easy to over-apply as it is clear, but be careful: there is very little in the bottle. It turns purple, which gives you hope it’s working. I waited the 15-minutes, rinsed it and used a clean cloth. This only lightened the purple. After a time the purple disappeared totally, and the rust remained. It did clean the travertine around the rust, but that only made the rust look brighter. Terrible product and a complete waste of your time and money.

Removed rust from limestone and cast stone
I put it on, after a few minutes it turned the rust purple. I removed it in about 5 minutes and some of the rust was gone. I then did it again leaving it 15 minutes as per the instructions and it turned the remaining rust purple and when I removed it about 90% of the rust was gone. I plan to do one more treatment but at 90% removal already I'm estatic.

WARNING - Don't use this anywhere near painted surfaces
This helped a rust spot on ceramic bathroom wall tile but BIG WARNING - it ruined my painted wood toilet seat. It says it is gel but it's really just a slightly thicker liquid and it must have dripped on my toilet seat leaving huge ugly brown marks that were only made worse when I tried to wipe it. It is clear so you can't see where you've dripped it. Not happy that my brand new toilet seat now has to be replaced. It did make the rust spot a little lighter and I might try it again but I'm a little scared to even use it now. Also, there is absolutely no warning on the packaging or insert that it could damage some surfaces so that is extremely careless of the manufacturer. I will be contacting them to complain. Cost of the bottle doubled since I now have to buy new toilet seat. I gave two stars since it did remove some rust but not completely and not worth the extra hassle of the damage it did.
