WAZOO LOUD KAZOO, Colors May Vary

I have bought two "tin" kazoos, a "metal kazoo, a wooden kazoo (sometimes sold in a gift box with a metal one), and this one. My low expectations for this kazoo were shattered. It has easily the best sound quality and range of the five. Its membrane is very sensitive, so one need not scream into it in order to get a buzz. Additionally, the large horn on top can be taken off for a different effect. The thing I like about the removable horn is that I can play it as-is with or without my hand screening the "exhaust port." When you screen out the raw voice coming out the exhaust, a purer kazoo sound reaches your audience (or your microphone). Take the horn off, and you have two more sound options. Four kazoos in one. Best $3 I've spent in a long time.

My family plays a not so widely popular but very underrated kazoo game called Humdinger. The kazoos that come in-box just don't cut it over long term use. The Wazoo is the answer! Excellent bold sound, as quality construction as you could hope for molded plastic, and heck, it's just completely fun for all ages. Would also make a great party favor as it will actually last longer than most throw away plastic toys. Note to wary parents: this produces sound much louder than most kazoos or noise makers but it isn't grating. The tone is pleasing...which is a big selling point for folks like me who irritate easily. :)

Really loud and simple yet fun. I had the pleasure of hearing my 2 year old son passionately hum Jingle Bells through it for about 6 hours on the way to see family over the holidays. Breaks really easily but that means it's also easily fixed.

Good value for an interesting looking instrument. It is quite loud, however the horn detaches from the kazoo with much ease, not certain if this is a deliberate part of the design, but it ruined the novelty for me.

WAZOO LOUD KAZOO, Colors May Vary This Kazoo does live up to its name. It is LOUD and by LOUD I mean, so LOUD it can make you go insane. My children can play it loud, but I can play it even louder. Make sure you don't blow through the kazoo but use more of a humming technique and WOW... you can really project the sound. The "reed" doesn't seem to get wet and stop function at all... it kept going and going and going... which to most will be a plus... but in the hands of a child... it can be a weapon of destruction. This Kazoo is awesome at sporting events but in a house when you are trying to focus... its best kept behind closed doors unless you like going insane. Great purchase that lives up to its name, is loud and fun for kids and adults to belt some kazoo tunes out on!

It's not just louder; it's also a better sound. In a pinch, a street performer with the right attitude could earn tips with this instrument. No, you're not going to get on America's Got Talent, but it sure beats a cardboard sign. Lots of doddle-opp grace notes … sell it! (Want a tip from harmonica players? Roll an "R" at the start of a measure or a phrase; instant 64th notes, and go right into any tune, improvisational or otherwise.)

Extremely cheap. No film, doesn't sound anything like a kazoo. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING

I am giving five stars as these are sooo awesome! They are expensive for what you get. I have gone thru 7 or 8. I have mixed and matched the perfect color combo for me. Some colors don't work well together and I don't know why. For example the purple horn falls out of the kazoo where as the white one fits perfect. I was willing to mix and match to create a great color and fit. Some sound different than others and some are louder than others. You really don't know what you're going to get, but I still need to give it five stars. I would recommend buying at least two. For sure you will get one really great one. I have also blown out the reeds, so that has been a problem a couple times. Also, if you buy two, you will have a back-up reed. To me, no two sound alike. You just have to either like the sound you get or get a few and pick your favorite. I live this Kazoo so much and I will continue to buy them as long as they are available. I have a new one on its way right now and I can't wait to see what color combo I get. :-)

The box was large and well packed, so instrument arrived in excellent condition. The kazoo is louder and has a fuller, richer tone than a regular kazoo. This is fun to play. All you have to be able to do is hum. I play the kazoo when I play a keyboard.

It is, in fact, very loud. And funky. Looks exactly as pictured.
