The factory installed handle was plastic, snapped off in my hand. The recliner is only about three years old so that was definitely a “WTF?” moment. Ordered this part with Prime shipping, got it next day, took less than 10 minutes to replace, and works fine. You’ll need two sets of hands to reinstall the handle to the chair as the handle needs to be in open position to install the two screws that fasten it to the chair. As advertised, it is metal, and seems much more sturdy than the original part. No instructions, but it’s easy enough to figure out, just do not forget to attach the U shaped spring clip that holds the cable sheath in place. I anticipate this part lasting for the rest of the life of the chair itself.

This metal release handle replaced an original plastic one. My cable end was actually smaller than the original cable end, but the item description states this will fit 6mm and smaller. Works as it should. Good fit, good quality.

This replacement pull handle instantly made me a hero in my household after I fixed my wife’s favorite recliner. The part is solid, well-made, and honestly feels better than the original handle that failed. Installation was quick and painless, took almost no time at all. What was originally on the duel loveseat was plastic. Repeated pulling on the lever caused it to break. The swap was real quick and easy. There is a little wire clip that you will need that snaps in and holds the cable in place. The replacement didn’t include that, so make sure you don’t throw it out. This replacement is entirely metal…much stronger than plastic and will last forever. I think I’m going to purchase another one and replace the other side before it to fails.

Perfect fit, easy installation - with a Phillips head screwdriver and a pair of pliers, it took 10 minutes total for both sides.
