K&N Cold Air Intake System: High-Flow Air Filter, Increase Performance & Towing: Compatible with 2009-2023 RAM/DODGE 1500 Classic, 1500, 2500, 3500, 57-1561

Went back and forth on different CAI systems. Cheap ones..mid level, but well reviewed, other top shelf brands that are 300 and up cost wise. Ultimately a number of mitigating factors played into my decision of just going with the brand I know, have used before and comes with a proven track record. I won't bash any of the others, as I did see what looked and reviewed like good units from 'off brands'..I just saw too many inconsistencies across the board and decided that cheaping out on a mod that I need to perform in MANY various conditions. Of course I'd rather have spent 150 bux instead of 400..but at the end of the day it's a low mileage sweetheart of a truck I was upgrading so why the heck take a risk on the one that I buy ends up being the 1 out of 10 off the line that sneaks past the QC tech..nah. Long droning review in a nutshell..diff people have diff budgets. If there is any way, split payment option/ Affirm etc etc, where you are able to do it...go ahead and get the K&N/Air-raid or more pricey unit. The supplied breather hose is not too short, the air temp sensor adapter doesn't throw a code on your dash because it's a piece of poo, housing and filter are of premium build quality and the install takes about a half hour to an hour depending on wrenching skill level, so everything fits perfectly and needs no fiddling or modification for fitment. It absolutely performs as advertised. A pinch better MPG if you don't drag race at every stop light and the throttle is much much more snappy than the OEM airbox. I was a bit concerned about the composite flow pipe, but after reading reviews that it dissipates heat better than metal pipes, and verifying that over a 500 mile out and back road trip vacation (hand checked every gas stop, and it was significantly cooler than any metal part under the hood) can confirm that my concern was satisfied completely. Composite flow pipe is quite thick and sturdy to the feel, and is a very good casting quality. The extra money is worth the lack of headache installing and noticeable performance increase across the board. If you can swing, go with this one..you won't be disappointed.

Waited a long time to finally buy this. Had to decide to keep truck. Took delivery around 4:15 in afternoon. By 6:30 it was done. I had to get tools out and that took probably 15 minutes. Instructions were adequate, after watching youtube video ahead of delivery. Everything was in box, no parts missing. Instalation went smoothly. I have done a lot of mechanical work, so figure on 90 minutes. Everything fit perfect, performance was immediately improved and noticeable. Only just installed so have no idea of MPG improvement. Sound is amazing. Yet quiet when just cruising. All in all very satisfied. Would highly recomend. .

Installation wasn’t to bad I really like the sound quality and as far as improved MPG or HP idk sure it feels faster ;) I’m happy with the purchase

I have noticed on a 600 mile trip an increase in fuel mileage , before at 75mph I was getting 17.7-18.6 now with it installed mileage is 19.2- 20.5, also truck runs cooler,and performance has increased. Noise level about the same. On a 26gal tank range is 50 plus miles more. Kit was complete easy installation took about 1.5 hrs Making sure everything has properly installed this is my 3rd. Time.

Came within 2 days as expected. Everything was packaged well and instructions were provided. Heat shield comes with two different options for shield mount. One shield is made for Rams '97 & older. The other shield (no cut-out) is made for Rams '98 - 2015. Installation took roughly 1 hour. Use Youtube for visual demonstrations. More experience the quicker it will be. After a few days driving I've definitely noticed the nice rumble "growl" when your around 2-3k RPMs. Throttle response is quicker & MPG has increased 1.5 mpg. Recent oil change full-synthetic & Super 93 Gasoline. Definitely adds nice look under the hood compared to stock CAI. Came with a few K&N stickers and CARB certified sticker. Overall highly satisfied with product. Now I'll be adding Long Tube Headers, 3" Off Road Exhaust Y-pipe, and a Spintech Super Pro 9000 Muffler. Hope this helps. -Spiffy

Installed on a 2014 Ram 1500 Big Horn 4x4. This is the 3rd K & N intake that I have installed (2 Chevy's and now the Ram) and this was by far the easiest installation of the 3 (none were difficult, but this was the easiest). I did not purchase this intake for sound, so that's not the purpose of this review. The added torque and HP are as advertised. But on both my 1994 K1500 and the 2014 Ram, the cold air intake also helps keep both engine and transmission temps much cooler while towing compared to the stock intake boxes. I haul a 5600lbs travel trailer with my Ram and the engine and transmission temps stay pretty close to what they used to get to with the stock intake when I WASN'T even towing! That's right while towing the K & N keeps my engine and tranny at similar temps that the stock intake did when I was not towing anything. Worth the price and then some.

Was missing the rubber boot

Instructions weren't the best, and you had to unfold them into one gigantic sheet, but I already knew most of it so it wasn't too bad. If unsure, watch a couple YT videos. All the parts were there, and everything worked just fine. Installed on a 2012 ram 5.7 hemi and helped give quite a little boost to throttle response and torque. Made the exhaust and engine more throaty and sound better.

It did improve my fuel mileage 5-10%. If nothing else it sounds great. Easy to install.

Se mira bien el kit de admisión K&N en mi RAM, fue fácil la instalación, pero sobretodo me gusta cuando le piso al acelerador.

Product was overall ok. It was easy to install and fit with no issues. However I had to buy bigger clamps to secure the cone as they sent the wrong size.

Didn't like all the pieces that I had to put together but loved the look and the extra power. Millage might improve once your done playing
