Superior Product
Another Great product from Fram, my go to filter vendor for decades. Got this for my recently purchased 2015 Subaru Forester at less than half the cost with better quality and filtering than the OEM.

Works for subaru crosstrek
Got it and it took less than five minutes to install. Not sure if I noticed any immediate difference in performance but I've always been happy with Fram products.

Quality you'd expect from FRAM. The fit was really tight in the airbox.
Because the fit of the air filter is very tight it was a bit challenging to get it to sit flush on the airbox.

Budget Friendly and Well Worth It
As proud owners of a 2017 Subaru Outback, we’ve been loyal to FRAM Extra Guard CA9997 air filters for quite some time now. Our satisfaction with these filters remains high, as they consistently deliver the performance we need.We opt for a more frequent replacement cycle, subscribing to an autoship every six months rather than the advertised 12 months or 12,000 miles. This schedule suits our car's demands perfectly, especially since my husband is keen on regular maintenance. True enough, by the six-month mark, the filter is ready for a swap, usually looking its duty by then.I stick to a three-month interval for oil changes and, while the filter still looks serviceable at that point, the combined renewal of both oil and air filter every half-year leaves our Outback feeling rejuvenated.Besides the noticeable boost in performance post-maintenance, the cost-effectiveness of these filters is a win. Doing it ourselves saves a good chunk of change compared to having it replaced during an oil change service. Plus, it's a straightforward task that doesn't take much time or effort.Overall, we're very happy with the FRAM filters. They're a budget-friendly, easy-to-manage choice that keeps our Subaru in top-notch condition.

More pleats than OEM means more airflow
My Subaru Forester seemed like it was losing some mpgs so I knew it was time to replace the engine air filter. I was right. The filter was very dirty. I was happy to see the Fram filter had more pleats than the 2018 Forester engine air filter. This should lead to performance gains. I noticed my mpgs go up immediately. It was easy to install and fit perfect. Definitely a great value as the OEM filter was twice as much money for a replacement. Sticking with the Fram filter moving forward.
