I like the Armor tool brand but...
First of all, I've only just opened the packages with my 2 clamps... I will leave it for others to judge how well it performs. The clamp comes in modest/easy to open plastic clamshell packaging, which I like. The clamp itself is slightly different than the clamp in the pictures... They've added a removable plastic molding at the flat base of the clamp which I imagine may protect your material a bit from marring.... Which I appreciate. That metal cylindrical 3/4 inch peg isn't solid metal (in case you're expecting that)... It's hollowed out into sectors but I doubt that it will impair it's function in any way, but I thought I should mention it.This peg is not attached to the clamp from the factory... You have to do the screwing on... And it has a nicely (force-needed?) Screw motion requirement ... I much prefer this to a loose wobbly attachment.... But here's the thing... While I was muscling that peg in, I didn't realize that the ridges on the peg are really quite sharp, so when I was done I had lots of small surface slices on the skin on my fingers... I should've worn gloves and you should too.And lastly and most importantly, my package was totally devoid of any included instructions... No usage instructions, no product care and maintenance instructions... Sure... One would think it's a clamp, so why?... But there are at least 3 different mechanisms on this clamp that require user adjustment and they chose not to give the purchaser any guidance... I don't appreciate that, a simple QR code linked to a webpage or YouTube video would have been appropriate.

Stop shopping and buy it
Been a woodworker for 30 years, these are excellent stops, their are really no faults to describe. Very highly recommended, and a reputable supplier. The company does not state the origin of the product (they should) but if this is made in China it has clearly been made to the companies own engineering specification.

Very nice hold down
I use the standard hold fasts which work very well at keeping my work from moving around. The only draw back is having to place a small pad between the fast and the work to prevent marring the work. Also I have to keep a mallet close by to "whang" the fast into submission. With the Armor hold down, I set the pressure I needed and it is quick and simple to set the hold down or release. The hold down has a nice plastic pad to prevent marring the work. This has now become my go to hold down. Good job on making a great product.

Useful for certain jobs.
This is a pricey item. It is well made and has an adjustable tension. My only complaint is that shaft grooves are shallow and sometimes doesn't want to bite. Also, it does not have rock solid application, but that's the nature of it anyhow. Yet, it is useful. It's big plus is that it won't mar your work as bench irons often do. You need a 3/4" hold bored in the bench and it will have to have a thicker top for it to bit. If your bench is thin you MAY add (screw & glue) a 2x4 block and bore it through to give you more thickness for it to work. You'll need to use it in conjunction with a bench do or a clamp stop.

Quick and easy to use! Love them!
I’ve been using the hold down clamps for a few weeks now and love them. I make a lot of home decor pieces that are small and sometimes make the mistake of using my hands to hold things to together when gluing and nailing up. With these clamps now, I won’t have anymore close calls with the nail gun. Super easy to assemble, use and compliment my Armor Tools Doghole Table which has also provide and great even, sturdy, and level work area to assemble and build in my shop. I hope to order more soon to ramp up production. Thank you Armor Tools

Buy them!
Only buy armor auto clamps. They are great and you will want to destroy all your other clamps so you can buy these to replace them. Trust me. Have Kreg auto clamps as well but seem to have problems with those (only sometimes actually clamp)

So far, it's the only one that holds
I have tried 2 different styles of traditional holdfasts in my workbench. The top is made from 2x4s on edge so it is thick. I have full length holes and some counterbored as that was recommended if a holdfast won't grip. This is the only one that holds in all the dog holes. I will post again, I hope, after using it and stress testing it a bit. If I don't, it's working, if I do follow up, that may mean a problem.

Hold down clamp gets the job done!
Works where other (much higher priced) hold-downs have failed. I have a deep (3.5") top and forged holdfasts wouldn't grab at all. The P7-HH works perfectly every time and you don't have to pound on it to get it seated. The adjustable hold down force is a nice addition, just set it and go. Well thought-out, a modern answer to an old problem.

well built, easy to use
Well built. Once holding pressure adjusted you can hold down tight almost wood thickness. A bit pricy.

A beauty!
I only wish I had more of these. When nothing works this clamps works. Incredibly versatile, well-designed and well made. Nothing not to love. Just pricey.
