I've been making my own piping to match craft and sewing projects and this cording works great. I've used it in all sorts of bags, upholstery, and other sewing and craft projects. Note that the kind of projects I use it for don't require lots of repeated washings, so I can not speak to how well it holds up if you use it in something you plan to wash frequently. It's a bit thick to use in my piping foot on either my sewing machine or serger, but I've been able to use it anyway by leaving a "tail" on the top end where I'm going to start it so I have something to pull on to put a bit of tension on it so it'll start moving through the foot. I'm pleased with the quality - it's even in its construction and easily rolls off the cardboard holder.

Found these at a great price....after looking at other sites....found the best value here and just the right size. Came just like it appears on the site....on a wheel to keep from tangles.

It works

I just made my first quilt and used this piping on it. The piping is not frayed or stringy like some piping I saw in local stores. This is 100% cotton and very uniform in thickness through the length of it which made it easy to work with. I used the piping foot on my sewing machine but did not cut the fabric on the bias. I attached the piping and washed it. I did not notice any shrinkage or any other problems with it and it still looks very neat and uniform even after laundering. I will definitely use this again!(Remember: This is my first quilt, I know my stitching isn't right/uniform but the piping looks good.)

Was looking for "rope" for fabric coil bowls but rope jams up my machine and is harder on needles. This stuff is perfect. It's easy to work with, nice and soft, and results in perfect rows. Also makes ending the basket/bowl easier as you can tuck it behind and sew two layers at once. I love this stuff and am so happy to have found it on here as my previous supplier was one ferry and a few hours away! Will be buying loads of this stuff for making gifts.

Been doing a few upholstery project and using this product works very good, just don’t manhandle it to much before making piping.
