Get Eufy. Value for money and reliable. Top notch customer services
I bought this for my mum as part of her home security system. I’ve used Eufy products to create my own security system and was so impressed with their products and customer services that I’ve done the same for my mum’s house.Eufy do regular discounts so it’s cost effective to add devices when they drop in price rather than buy everything at once. Just make sure your first device contains a Homebase 2 (15 Gb). Everything then gets integrated onto this and makes adding new devices simple.Great door bell. Easy to mount, easy to connect to Homebase 2. Loads of settings to play with.NO SUBSCRIPTION FEES.Picture quality is good both during the day and at night. Battery life is touted at 180 days but you’ll never achieve this unless you don’t use it.Even though their is a lag with notifications and reviewing the alerts, it’s no worse than any of the other major wireless players on the market such as Ring, Arlo, Blink etc.The app is good but you can set up alerts to work Alexa and Apple HomeKit. I’ve stuck with Eufy’s app.Highly recommendedAs with all wireless products, you are entirely at the mercy of a decent WiFi network.Any issues arising has always been sorted out by Eufy’s excellent customer services

Excellent Video Qualty, and no Subscription
I recently decided to switch from my Ring Doorbell to an Eufy doorbell. The reason? Their subscription prices went up again, and without a subscription, the Ring Doorbell is just a camera. The Eufy cost a bit more than a year’s Ring subscription, and since I already have an Eufy Home Hub, it was an easy choice. My phone and Alexa Dot get notifications almost instantly, and guess what? The Eufy Home Hub chimes in with the bell push, so you can hear it both inside and outside the house.Setting it up was a breeze. The video clips are saved to the Eufy hub, so you can watch them on your phone, tablet, or PC. The phone notifications show a clip of the person at the door, and it’s easy to chat with them.Oh, and here’s the best part: the notifications with video clips also show up on my Apple Watch if you already have an Eufy Home Hub 2. If you’re thinking about getting a Ring doorbell, why not just get an Eufy 220 doorbell? It doesn’t require a subscription, and it’s way better.

There good but battery dies after two weeks.
There good but battery dies after two weeks. There new though, so maybe I've not un ticked a box that reduces power. Still worth it though.

Good addition to the Eufy EcoSystem
The media could not be loaded. **152 days later**Using the optimal surveillance mode, it lasted 152 days until it required charging. It captured 3668 events in total.Overall, I'm pleased with the system and the way it works. Would recommend fully.**Original review**This was an upgrade from the 1080p doorbell camera and chime. After being impressed with the 1080p, I purchased the Eufy alarm kit when it was on offer. However, to use the automation feature in the app with the other items (PIR sensors, additional cameras etc) the doorbell needed to be unpaired with the chime and added to the Homebase 2 that came with the alarm system, this in turn would render the chime redundant. So it made sense to return it and purchased this 2k add on.Overall it's a great bit of kit for those wanting a reliable doorbell without having to pay extra to save the 2am video of the fox in the front garden or the time you tripped up the front step. Everything is saved locally on the Homebase 2 and you can access this all through the app.Setup was straight forward and installation was easy. With this the option is there to hardwire it in with existing doorbell wiring and the leads and connectors you may need are supplied in the box.Straight out the box I charged it to 100% which took just over an hour from 74%, from there it was a quick change of the back plates (the 2k is annoyingly ever so slightly bigger and required a new hole drilling in the door frame, not ideal if you're a renter like me...).Be prepared to tweak the settings. A lot. The first few days the motion detection notifications can get annoying and I live in a quiet cul-de-sac... you'll need to find balance as even though the AI is good, it doesn't mean it's flawless. With the 1080p I was able to set 3 square activity zones whereas with the 2k, you get 1 hexagonal zone to form a shape. The attached image shows the weird shape I had to form (and it's night vision thrown in for good measure) but it works me. The attached video shows next doors cat which rubs against that corner a lot and it set off the motion detection, but now with the activity zone it filters out that corner.Battery life so far has been good, the attached screenshot shows it's state and that is from the 1st charge cycle. I've had it set to optimal surveillance from with all motion detection selected. All in all, a good piece of kit. An extra point goes to it's release key. With the 1080p you get a standard SIM pin tool, nothing fancy and likely to be lost, but with the 2k, you get a chunky magnet one, ideal for me as the metal consumer board is right above my door.

Good video quality and detection, no monthly fees.
Good alternative to ring and the likes of. The signal is weak if you have the hub the opposite side of the house and you have a porch like I do. I also have the 2C cameras. These trump my doorbell otherwise I would move it. I would recommend enabling the wi-fi option this extends the signal range. My ex had the same doorbell and the hub is closer for her. This rings immediately like the ring doorbells. The video quality is amazing as it's the sound and motion detection. It integrates well with other smart home tech like the Amazon Alexa's. It works well with the fire stick and brings up the camera and doorbell when asked on the TV. This is a handy feature. It is not ZigBee compliant so don't expect it to work with Alexa ZigBee or smartthings. However it does work well with home assistant. The bonus for me is the footage is stored locally on the hub so no monthly fees!I have recommended the current setup to 3 other friends who have purchased the eco system and they are happy as I am with their purchase. I would definitely wait for the seasonal discounts as this dramatically reduces the outlay!
