Works well. Light my wood burner with it. Use small amount of kindling first then off it goes.Easy to use.

Brilliant piece of kit, fast and effective and makes the Grenadier look a bit feeble as well as grotesquely overpriced. It is quite startlingly powerful though (and noisy), which is something to be prepared for if using it in a stove or fireplace indoors, where it might blow ash back out of the grate if not positioned and pointed with care.

It arrived late and when it arrived the packaging was damaged at both ends, the unit was damaged at the heat element end. The end of the box had previous been opened and the sellotaped shut; sadly it seems I was knowingly sent a damaged unit without my agreement.

Iv'e seen products double this price that do the same job, this is a sturdy robust item that does the job well.

So I bought this is April 2021 and it's August 2024 and it is broken because of an internal electric fault. It started to sound a bit funny and then one day it blew home fuse as well. It's life was only may be around 12 bbq.⁹

Bought for lightning coal burning Egg bbq. Previously, it would take a long time to get the coals going with a normal lighter. This saves time and is less effort

I use the fire starter to light a wood burning stove. It’s really effective using a little kindling under the logs it 1.5 -2 minutes to get the fire going well. I’m very happy with it.
