Tristar Cornet + Case + MP + Mute

I love this cornet! It has the sweetest sound. It is a magnificent instrument and Tristarr customer support is excellent! One of Tristarr's representatives, Rachel, was an outstanding help in resolving a minor problem.This instrument is so sweet-sounding yet so powerful. I would recommend that any trumpet or cornet player try one. It may be at the quality level of professional instruments which cost several thousands of dollars.I am so very pleased with this cornet!

When I got it all the slides and valves were stuck, and after cleaning it thoroughly TWICE, there was still grime. The mouthpiece shank was to small so it wobbled around, the gloves are just cheap ones, and the mute is worthless

Too many problems:1) The finish began flaking off almost immediately. Even though I've stopped using it I'm still finding bits of nickle, or whatever it is, all over the place. I hope I didn't inhale any of it.2) The intonation was bad3) Even after a liberal application of Blue Juice the valves remained sticky.One more point: When I complained to the seller about this product and requested a refund they agreed. However, what I found was that the shipping cost to return it to India was more than the price of the horn. The seller refunded some of my money but be aware that returning it may not be a good option for you.

We have a child who has been renting a beat-up coronet from their school for several years. We also rented it for the summer too. ow that they're going into high school the rental fee has significantly increased, so we decided to purchase this inexpensive coronet instead of taking the plunge and spending $800 for a higher-quality instrument, that they may or not play once they're done with high school. The coronet itself is good quality with no air leaks (unlike the one we've been renting). We had a local music store go through it and the only thing they did was re-align one of the tuning forks that was bent and inoperable. The item shipped immediately (from India) and arrived in a few days (West Coast USA), so we were really impressed with that. The only knock so far is that the finish on the instrument is very low quality and is already starting to peel after using it for just a few weeks (and yes, we take very good care of it). To refinish it would cost north of $400, so it's not worth it. So far we are very happy with it. The company's customer service got back to us quickly with a few questions we had, easing our concerns. I'd recommend giving them a try if you're in a similar circumstance to ours.

For the price , so far it seems to be a very good instrument. I've had it for S month and have played it regularly and the valves are still working properly and it has a good tone. So far I am happy with it.

The instrument came rather quickly even though they thought it was going to take a month to arrive. It came in a very nice case and it seems to be working out well for him this is his first year playing so I think the instrument is perfect for him. I totally recommend this buy!

This is a really nice cornet! A mute, mouthpiece, and carrying case are included.The slides work beautifully after you grease them thoroughly. The valves work perfectly after applying some valve oil. This cornet looks really good aesthetically. This cornet has a trumpet leadpipe. You'll have to purchase trumpet mouthpieces.I just received my first trumpet mouthpiece and it fits perfectly.The size of the Tristar mouthpiece is 7C. The 7C mouthpiece may be made from pot metal or nickel. I am allergic to it. You might want to purchase a better mute. The mute doesn't work well. I can't get the right tones once I insert the mute and it continuously pops out. I purchased a Sshh mute and it works great for quiet practicing. I can play from low G to the first octave C and the sound is beautiful. I received my cornet within four days after purchase. I am VERY, VERY, VERY, happy with this instrument and this seller Now...it's time to play! Woo Hoo! UPDATE: I had to replace the spongy material in the water key with a piece of round cork. After the replacement, I lost the air leak from the water key and now enjoy playing an airtight cornet. Have lots of fun!

I love the item, I didn't come with the mute though.
