Pwrveiw is not included
Generac has discontinued the PWRview feature over a year ago. They only monitor power on their solar systems now.Gulf States treated me very well when I brought this to their attention. Don't know if others would do the same.

NO WARRANTY, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
My electrician is having issues connecting the generator to our home. We live in Florida and made this investment 3 months ago, trying to be ready for hurricane season. There is an issue with the breaker and all I get from the seller are emails with phone numbers to contact. On top of it, a service technician will come to check it but the cost is $ 295...

Best $200 you will ever spend! Say What? - Read on for an explanation
First... understand that other than alternator (i.e., electric generator portion) of this 24KW unit is identical to the 22KW unit, sharing the same engine, exterior housing etc. If you've read the thousand plus reviews for the 22KW Generac unit you already know its a winner. NET: By default the 24KW unit is as well so I saw no need to write up another glowing review. As mentioned the Generac 22KW and 24KW use the exact same engine, the added power output of the 24KW comes from having a larger generator assembly so... because the 24KW unit outputs more power, in theory the engine should not have to work as hard as one in a 22KW unit to produce the same amount of power.Anyway... after a thorough home investigation and sizing performed by an authorized Generac sales representative, it showed a 22KW generator would suffice for my home. So, did I need a 24KW unit. No! But …. for only about $200 more I'd have been crazy not to go for the new 24KW model, plus the bottom line cost is offset even more because I'll need fewer Energy Management modules (load shedding devices you'll learn about from the Generac rep) Going with the 24KW was a win-win. It’s the same exact size as the 22KW unit (not physically larger in anyway), the 24KW unit provides more head room meaning less worry about over taxing my generator and I’ll have the extra power available if I ever need it.

Sounds like a tractor
This thing is incredibly loud. Its like having a work-crew with heavy machinery next to the house. So much for the "only as loud as a conversation" advertising.

Good luck setting up wifi
I bought this elsewhere during supply shortages. My installer came today. We live where there is no real cell service (1-2 bars), and my wifi was too far away. Set up was painful because of assumptions they make about internet access, and terrible user interfaces. The menus get stuck on a screen and you can't escape out of them. I finally got a phone connection and got the unit registered with a passcode. Tonight I got a wifi repeater within 5 ft. I went to setup wifi and it got stuck for 25 minutes saying Set to AP. I called Generac and they could not get it unstuck. 30 minutes later, I got it back to the home screen. I managed to get past Set to AP and got to Set up wifi now! The Mobile Link for Generators app is terrible to work through to connect to the generator's AP. It said the unit would not work if there was a power outrage but wouldn't let me connect. I managed to clear the error and finally connected. I set the SSID and wifi password and it said, congratulations you're connected. It then said it was trying to get data for my unit and to come back later. Meanwhile, the screen on the Generac is saying to connect to its SSID. Now Mobile Link says my unit is not connected to wifi. Finally after waiting another 35 minutes, it says the unit is ready to run and it appears Mobile Link is connected to it. I can't imagine a non-network/software saavy person having success without multiple support calls. My installer has installed scores of generators and he said he has never seen such challenges; apparently the mobile link is a new thing... Generac needs some software people who know how to write software and how to create a human usable interface that hides errors you shouldn't see, makes things work reliably, and simplifies the user experience with in-app guidance and troubleshooting. I hope the generator works better than the software to get it set up.

Quality of assembly
Quality is good, assembly quality inspection needs improvement.I found many issues of wires being routed across vibrating parts as to short out electrical wiring. Twisted hoses as to collapse the flow of NG or LP. Generac needs to put the effort into the assembly to ensure its quality engineered product works as intended. Background: Owned the unit 6 months and had multiple errors of high temp.We are very remote. To get product service technician to our location would be extremely difficult and expensive. I found collapsed LP hose and several locations where electrical wires were routed across vibrating engine/generator parts which were shorting out.
