Lots of fun
This game appeal to you if you: like dancing games; love Michael's music; have kids. I am in all 3 categories. For fans of the music you will find that this experience is very true to the Michael Jackson sound and feel. The tracks are authentic and not karaoke-type reproductions. The avatars that perform move very fluidly and are true to the choreography Michael was known for. You will find yourself immersed very quickly in a Michael Jackson video. Some have commented that the avatars are faceless - and they are - there are no detailed facial features, but that's not a big deal for my family. We visualize ourselves as the character doing the moves, which might be tougher if you were looking at a detailed face. "Michael" moves exactly like you would expect. The moonwalk, the snapping fingers, the spins and twirls, the swaying hips - its all here. The game play is straight-forward. Select your song and start dancing. There are on-screen prompts and running scoring to indicate how well you're doing. 'Good' and 'Perfect' pop up when you hit the moves just right.Player can choose to perform as Michael, or as back-up dancers or as singer. I haven't tried the singing option, so cant comment on singing. What is useful is that the lyrics scroll up on the screen karaoke-style, so whether or not you opted for singing you're still able to follow along. That feature actually straightened out some errors we were making in some of Michael's song lyrics over the years, so thumbs up for that. LOL.Our one peeve is that the game takes a while to load the selected song. Its not an eternity but its not instant either.Overall this is good fun for families. My kids (10 and 5) weren't around at the peak of Michael's brilliance but love his music just the same and are fully sold on this game. We love it.

We fans won't stop until we get enough, which is never
I know, I know. If anything could be worse to anyone's perspective on dancing games like for example, Dance Dance Revolution, it would be bad right? Well, not in my case. First of all, I liked DDR and I had really good times playing it at the arcades and at home. It's much fun when you're playing the game with a friend. When times long passed, I thought that I would never get up and play a dancing game ever again until one particular dancing game and that's Michael Jackson The Experience. Since I already own a PS Move motion controller and I was subscribing from Gamefly, I thought I would take the chance to rent the game and check it out. Of course, for many things, I was a bit skeptical at first. As part of the title says: The Experience, it's telling me that I would be in the shoes of the King of Pop and experience the dancing moves and have me like his music more than ever. Which precisely what this game was making an impression out of me. So I rented the game, booted up my PS3, loaded in the disc, start it up, and play with my PS Move motion controller. Let me tell ya, it was the best experience of a dancing game I ever had since Dance Dance Revolution Extreme. There were moves that everyone had or dreamed of actually performing. You get the chance to do so in his popular hit songs like Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Thriller, Beat it, and other most memorable and favorable his songs. After renting for a month, thinking of getting the game, it was time to finally decide on owning it. Besides, the game seems to be getting rare as most are like Fatal Frame and perhaps becoming underrated as DDR was back then. The only thing that's a downside is that this game only has one DLC when I'm expecting that there will be more in the future. After its release and it's one and only DLC song, they haven't released any other DLC songs. It would be great to play songs like Man in the Mirror, Scream, You Rock My World, Jam, and even Hold My Hand. I think this game deserves better. It's like saying that it's already polished but it needs to polish more to get that shining effect that MJ has done so many times on stage, in front of thousands, if not millions of his fans. Overall, this game is really fun and it reminds me how great the King of Pop was. Wait, let me rephrase that. Ir reminds me how awesome the King of Pop, forever.

Tons of Fun and Great Aerobics!!!
Bought this as a gift. We started it up soon after the wrapping paper hit the floor and it was a BLAST! There are many songs to chose from all with ratings on dancing and singing difficulty. Up to four people may play and each can chose from Dance only, Sing only, or Dance and Sing. We only tried the Dance only and the Sing only with two players. You get to chose your dancing difficulty, there are Easy, Medium and Hard and it looked like all the Hard's were Michael's dance, the others seemed to be the Crew (background dancers). We had tons of fun and it was an excellent workout! You get to playback sections of your dancing and that was fun to watch as well. For first timers... well, we looked like people jumping around holding a glow rod!!! It was a blast and I look forward to playing it again.Oh, and the songs are all Micheal Jackson singing. Great tunes!
