Install went well, not to hard to figure out. Make sure you either add new thermal paste or you heat up the thermal paste up on removing and reinstalling the heat shield! Otherwise you may get an error or overheating. This product worked great, battery life is back to normal, if not slightly better on the V1. This battery is backwards compatible. I did however have a minor issue after installingthe new battery. The battery meter on the switch showed 74% but I was getting a low battery that was kick info us our of our games. This was a software issue, not hardware, that was easily solved by following Nintendo's battery meter reset procedure. Takes a while day to charge and drain the battery to reset the battery indicator, but it has been working perfect every sense. Just a simple calibration to the software to accommodate the new battery. The tools included were an added bonus and the battery comes with new 3M adhesive already in place. I used a hair dryer instead of a heat gun and was able to heat the adhesive enough to get the old battery out without risking heat damage to the screen. Overall good product, easy install, and solid results. Brought back to life our older V1 Switch!

Bought this to replace the 2nd battery in my OG switch. It worked great at first but then the battery life started running out quickly around the 3 month mark.... the battery stopped charging shortly after. I reached out to customer service and they were SO GREAT. I was actually really surprised by how quickly and efficiently they were at sending out a replacement.Rated this so high because of their customer service! When the battery was working it was great... I have not had a chance to replace the battery since they sent out the replacement. Hoping its the battery and not a dying switch. Will update after testing.

so, my switch wouldn't turn on right... and out of the blue while i am looking at a possible new switch my son asks if the battery was replaceable. I didn't even know it was possible but i did a search on Amazon and i'll be damned, there's like 3 options for replacement batteries for a switch.I ended up ordering this one from Antank, its a universal one that works with all versions of the switch console and it comes with the tools you need AND directions on how to replace it too.when it arrived i opened it up and followed the directions that came with it. tehy were very easy to follow, pictures showed exactly what screws to remove etc... i was able to get it done in about 20 minutes. Saved me a hella lot of money by simply replacing the battery instead of having to get a new switch.thank you Antank

Pretty easy install, I recommend a heat gun or a hair dryer to remove the old battery, and a second person to use the heat while you try to lift up, the instructions are pretty good.

I replaced the fan in my son’s switch, I knew since I would have it opened, I should also replace the battery. The original switch battery charge didn’t last very long. The switch has many tiny screws. And the original battery was really stuck in place. I had to pry that battery off, it took a lot of effort. But after that, replacing the battery was a breeze.

TLDR; I ordered two of these and neither held a charge as long as my first gen Switch's original battery.I purchased this to upgrade my first gen Switch and increase the battery life. I was getting just under three hours of life. After installing and charging the new battery, I tested it twice and found that it was only lasting about two hours and 20 minutes. I contacted the seller, and to their credit, they gave me a 99% discount code to buy another battery as they said it would be quicker than a warranty. The battery came in two days later, I installed it, and it lasted just two hours and 30 minutes. I was expecting somewhere around the four hours of life that second gen Switches get. Otherwise, the instructions were great and it was nice of them to include tools, but as others have pointed out, the drivers can strip your screws. Particularly, the tri-point driver head is just too small for the screws. I almost completely stripped one of the tri-point screws on my second attempt. Luckily, I have an ifixit kit, and was able to get the screw out using a larger driver head. It was also nice of them to include replacement screws with battery. I appreciate the care they put into this and the timely response from both Antank and the seller, but I never received the battery life that I expected.

So I have no complaints about the product did exactly what they said it would. I do however have 1 glaring issue that makes the company seems a little sketchy. They sent a scratch-off card that told me to send them an email. I reached out to them and when doing so they told me they would handle it and 1st leave a review and the product and 2nd not to put in my review that they gave me a scratch off.......finally they wanted me to send them my Paypal info and they would get that money to me. I guess I could be looking at this very cynically however it does seem sketchy.

Everything in this package was excellent. Exceptional packaging. The replacement tools you can reuse for hobbies and electronics when done. The existing battery can be a tricky one to remove. Start where the cables come out when lifting it. The instructions were great too. You can use the printed work instructions in the box, or follow the video on this product page. Had 68% charge out of the box, and all worked first time. If your switch battery is kaput, you will not regret using this to replace it. All you need, and one of the best repair kit experiences I have had. Thanks guys, well done!
