Eureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Lightweight Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner

I was amazed at how much it picked up the first time I used it. The suction is amazing. I live in a cold wintertime climate which means we get a lot of sand tracked in and it pulled up so much sand .. and I had just used my previous vacuum the day before. But be mindful of the 5 different power 1 - 5. I used 5 and it pulled out a carpet thread, (which I managed to crazy glue it back in) .. so I use 3 for carpet and one for flooring. Extremely easy to put together. It's a cinch to use each of the attachments.

Turned it on, very loud, within literally 5 seconds started smoking and sparking. So dangerous!

I had this vacuum for a year and then the suction went from 5 star to 2. I took the vacuum apart, cleaned out every crevice. Then took out the filter, washed it, let it thoroughly dry for a few days and into the vacuum it went. Suction improved for a couple of vacuum sessions then back to poor suction. I repeated this washing but again it always reverted back to poor suction. And no matter how many times I washed it the musty smell from pet hair just wouldn’t go away. Nothing worse than vacuuming to get your home clean and it smells worse than when you started. I purchased a replacement filter on Amazon for $17, hoping I wasn’t wasting my money and now the suction is incredible. I couldn’t believe the difference. I recommend this if you’re experiencing a decline in suction. Would be great if the company included an extra filter or two in the box when you buy the vacuum. Other than the suction issue, the vacuum is great. A bit loud, but not a big deal for me.

Things I love about it. FILTERS - yes filters are washable, but easier for me to just buy new ones when needed. Inexpensive. CANISTER - WOW. Canister holds a LOT and I can easily see when it's getting full. REALLY PICKS UP - Depending on the setting you put it on, it can really suck everything out of your carpeting or rugs. Makes quick work of going over ceramic tile in kitchen and bathroom. EASY ASSEMBLY NICE ATTACHMENTS BOTTOMLINE: have paid MORE for vacuums not nearly this good. ONE THING, if you are giving to someone frail, has trouble vacuuming, while not exactly HEAVY, probably wouldn't be suitable for someone who needs something SUPER lightweight.

I haven't been able to use this item yet as wasn't aware it needed an adapter for the UK. It comes fittes with a USA plug. I have had to order separately so will update on usage when I have been able to try it out. Bit disappointed with this.
