When you install this, be sure that it spins freely. When I first installed it, the roller would not spin. The washers locked up against the bearing and rubber roller. Had to find smaller washers in my parts drawer that would not hit the rubber roller. The washers must only come against the face of the bearing. Maybe that's why some reviews say the roller fell soon apart?

Noise reduction for the mighty DR 650

put brand new chain and sprockets on drz400e bike. adjusted chain to factory recommendations. After 100 miles and new chain stretched a little, the mild flapping on the new upper roller caused the roller to disintegrate. shreaded black pieces were everywhere so ordered a different brand for replacement. Since my bike has lowering links my chain may need to be adjusted tighter than most but still expected the roller to last longer than 100 miles. Too soft and cheap.
