works for sensory processing disorder and diabetics (not on prescription meds)
I originally purchased this after reading it might help with Sensory Processing Disorder. I am pleased to say that it does. I am a 44 y/o female and I reserve this for my worst days ... the days when I want to shut myself in a room by myself with earplugs, or on those days I just cannot shift gears and being asked to do more then I can, makes me angry. The skullcap seems to overnight bring me balance. I find on those nights I use it, I sleep deeper and have more vivid dreams. Not bad dreams, but more vivid. Although I cannot remember them when I awaken. I use as needed and not every day. When I awaken, I feel refreshed, focused, and productive.I was ALSO doing research and saw that it can help bring blood sugar down. My husband is a borderline diabetic and we generally treat it by diet alone. However, recently his sugar has been very high upon awakening. I suggested he take this too. In the first few times taking this, he dropped his sugar from 200 to 140. Thus, I would not recommend taking this if you are also taking medication. He is now taking 2 a day and he has dropped his sugar to 114 on average. Still a ways to go and we are still cutting out grains and sugars, but I am SUPER pleased with this herb. No other side effects have been noticed for him. He does not seem to sleep any different. (I, personally, think he has been more productive since taking it, but maybe it is coincidence?)So ... good brand ... good quality, works for multiple uses.

Great alternative to prescription meds FOR SOME! Do your RESEARCH!
I have used scullcap for insomnia for years. Unlike prescription drugs, I have never had a problem with my body becoming used to it, and it has no addictive qualities. It's very gentle on the stomach, yet works fairly quickly. Since everyone's body chemistry is different, I would always recommend starting with the lowest dosage, one cap, and give it an hour to work before increasing. Nature's Way has been around for many, many years (it was already well established when I worked in an herb shop in '91), and is reliable in it's quality. I have fibromyalgia, diagnosed in '96, and my early experience with herbal remedies led me to search natural medicines for neuralgia and insomnia that would help those conditions without the possibility of addiction. Valerian is a more commonly used herb, but I have never liked the way it made me feel, so I was stoked when I discovered scullcap and a few others (lemon balm, hops passion flower, catnip, etc), that did the job without the perceptible side effects. Please understand I am NOT a medical professional, and I in no way advocate self-diagnosis, nor using herbs without consulting your doctor. That said, herbs have worked for me for many years , allowing me to cope with what can be and is for me a truly devastating and debilitatingly painful disease. The side effects are typically few to none, and the danger of organ damage from the consumption of over-the-counter pain medication and/or prescription meds is far less (though not absent). Experienced no effects at all. The teas I have tried work much better than this.

Think it is helping me sleep.
Some nights are better than others, think this is helping me sleep so will continue to use it for now. Will see how it works over time.

Didn't help me sleep
Just like every other supplement I've tried for insomnia doesn't help at all. Smells very herbal-ly . Will not repurchase. Going back to prescription sleep medicine.
