This. Is. The. Mat.
I use this mat every single time I do my nails, full nail art or not. I got mine as a gift a year or two ago and loved it so much, I bought two more as gifts for others. My mat has not stained, peeled, cracked or anything from all my use of it. I have spilled acetone all over it, use it all the time for swatches, stick vinyls all over it and it still looks and feels good as new.I'll be honest and admit that I don't use all the features this mat comes with. I don't use loose glitters or gems so I haven't used the wells/cups that are on the mat. I wouldn't say they are cups at all though. They're more like raised shallow circles. They're too shallow for me to pour acetone in, though I might just have a heavy hand. There are rectangles across the middle to make decals and I've never used them. I usually use the blank space under the rectangles. The part I do use are the black and while squares that run down the left side of the mat for swatching.I only use regular polish and stamping polish. I only use a gel topcoat from time to time, but have never tried a full set of gel or acrylics or anything else on the mat.The raised edges all along the mat are great at containing my mess along the way. When it's times to clean up, all I do is pick it up and dump its contents in the trash. It's super easy to wipe off polishes with a cotton pad or puff and be left with a clean mat. I never felt the need to rise it off under the sink, though I'm sure I could. If I feel like there is reside from filing my nails or whatever, I'll take a damn paper towel and wipe it all off.To make a long story short, yes I would recommend to a friend and have. Do you need one? Yes.Nail art can be messy. My tables and other flat surfaces can remain unscathed thanks to my mat, now yours can too.10/10Would:-buy again-refer a friend-give as gift-write a lengthy review again

I like what it does so far
I purchased this mat a few months ago. I tried to do a water based acrylic design on it and failed miserably so you could imagine the review I wanted to give this mat. It's best to use a protective coat first before you use any water based acrylic paint because it will stain the mat. I left the mat alone because I didn't want to do anymore damage to it.Last month I sucked it up and tried to use the mat again but this time with nail polish and passed with flying colors. You can do a lot with this mat.I have a phlethora of image plates and I always have a hard time trying to keep a steady hand when I use my non-dominant hand to place the images on and sometimes it works and other times it looks like I have Parkinsons. So with this nail mat and a see through image stamper I can easily place my designs where I want them to go and place the stickers/decals on my nails. This is what I mainly use this mat for. Some people stated you shouldn't leave nail polish on the mat over night but I have. I already had a design on my nails but had another design in mind so I did the design and was going to use it that week but I had another design in mind and left the other design on the mat for several weeks. The only downside was that I REALLY had to be careful when I took the design off the mat because it was really stiff. A small coat of nail polish underneath the design helped make the decal flexible again and I was able to put the design on my nails. It does buckle but after the nail products are off it goes back to it's normal state. When I'm not using this mat I just place it back into the plastic that it came with and I lay it flat somewhere until I'm ready to use it again.

Great nail art mat. High quality. Tons of helpful options. Great purchase!
I wanted one of these, and specifically wanted one with the cups for liquids. This is a great quality product that I would recommend to anyone who's into lots of nail art and experimenting with their nails. It saves your workspace from huge messes and can make the actual art process simpler too.You can use it to make decals. Reverse stamping techniques. Mix colors. Pick up loose gems/glitters. Practice nail designs. Practice stamping. You name it. It's silicone (I think) and squishy and rubbery feeling. So it has the adhesion to help with messes but is easy to clean. Nail polish remover or acetone work perfectly. And if you use regular acrylic paints for your nail designs, this is perfect for that too, it makes the water cleanup even easier...just wipe off!I'm really a fan of this mat. The idea is brilliant. This particular one has lots of options for playing with your designs and products on the mat before messing with your own hands! And the cups for liquids are one of my fave things. The nail guides for decals and designs are very nice, and good sized...and there's enough for more than an entire set of designs! (There's 14 regular and 2 pinky and 2 thumb sized guides) and they are all very generously sized. Also, the stamp testing area is cool...black and white squares. It has printed instructions and ideas on it. And the entire thing is surrounded by a guide rim, near the edge...like the circles for liquid...so that if you did have a mishap with spilled polish or remover or something, it could contain it for you before ever hitting the table! How cool.It really is pretty awesome. LOTS of possibilities.I'm so glad I finally got it. I would recommend any nail art enthusiast or pro to buy one! It's truly a great and helpful item in the nail art world. I love this thing!I'm including a picture of the mat: in the package, size reference, closeups, etc.
