DII Handmade Chindi Tabletop, Reversible and Machine Washable, Placemat Set, 13x19, Natural

Love them so far. Just wish they didn't have such a strong, strange odor. Without the odor I would give them 5 stars.Update: 15 months later and it really shows the quality. We don't even use these daily. All I've done it wash them with the laundry, no bleach even. I wanted something that would last, that I could wash, something that would both protect my table and look decent. Now they are ratty, with holes and strings hanging everywhere. Very disappointing and no longer recommend.

This piece is gorgeous! Soft to the touch and beautiful colors. I love love it!Heck I loved it so much I bought the blue for my kitchen and the cream for my bedroom! One of each and I love them all! Not sure what others are complaining about for this price this is a great buy and good quality. These are rag sewn together so there should be oddities in the seams and throughout the entire runner. This tells you its made individually and gives a crafted personalized look. Personally Im not expecting perfection for $16 I am expecting something to protect my furniture and this does that. I am more than satisfied.

This is not the same colors as advertised. I was hoping for warmer tones but It's much more blue. (I did NOT select the blue one) The runner itself is nice and sewn tightly. There is bright neons of pink, green, yellow, & orange in mine. It's pretty but, this is what happens when you get hopes high for something... They pull trickery on you...🙆🏽 Lol. I guess I should be grateful..... Ok I'm satisfied with it. Just not what I imagined & hope for.

After reading many reviews, I decided to NOT wash the cream runner upon receiving it. Instead, I put it outside for a few days in sunny, 80+ degree temperatures, bringing it in at night to hang over an open closet door near the air conditioner. And that did the trick. The formaldehyde smell finally dissipated. It was ready for the cats to "run" across.All three have lounged on it too including sissy Janey Louise (See Jacky Boy pictured on it eating.) And Momma is finding it easy to keep clean, as senior Pal Joey has already christened it with regurgitated salmon paté, his sweet way of giving back to Momma on occasion.I confess cleaning and power rinsing the offending spot with soap and water was necessary at that point. But doing so neither brought back the gross smell nor caused the runner to degrade in any way. I did notice a little bit of that white powder on the chest (others have mentioned) when I took up the runner to clean the spot. But I don't think its anything to worry about since I'm not using this runner on a dining room table.So there you have it. Buy with confidence. This thick runner is good for protecting wood from pitter-patter paws and their scratching claws. And it's inexpensive enough, so I may get a back-up runner to put out when company comes over since even though these chindi rugs do vacumn up OK, I never think well enough. :-D

I did like the look of the placemats BUT the smell was overpowering and unpleasant. The coordinating table runner that was the same material did not have this smell. It was packaged separately. The table runner and placemats items were purchased to help "stage" my house for the Open House. I didn't have time to return them. If I reordered, them would the new placemats smell just the same? Leaving them to air outside did not work so I soaked them in a solution of baking soda and lots of water for hours. Then they went back outside again to dry in the sun. These are thick placemats so they did take a long time to dry. This worked the first time for 4 of the 6 placemats but 2 of them required a second time soaking in the baking soda and water solution. If that doesn't work to eliminate the smell, those two will be thrown out. At this point I can not recommend these to any one else.

This runner is BEAUTIFUL. The quality is so nice. The woven fabric is very heavy and the colors really vibrantly pop. The pricing cannot be beat for such a high level of quality. I was so impressed I ordered the matching "rugs" as dresser and nightstand runners. Extremely happy with this purchase. Highly recommend.

High quality! Thick/Heavy! Even Better in person! The photos on site, don’t do it justice. Once you actually feel the material you will be shocked in the best way! Very durable!! I loved it so much I bought a second one. Colors vary. I ordered the colorful one. Very understandable given the materials used, but something to keep in mind. I still loved mine. I had purchased this item for protection, for new furniture to avoid scratches. Also adds a beautiful pop of color. Worth every penny and debating on buying a third one! Delivered fast. I can’t say enough good things about this product. Well worth the money!!!! I would and have recommend to my friends and family.

Overall the placemats are what I was looking for. They are thick and fluffy. I love the texture and the cotton is soft. They look very good on my wood table with white plates.I didn't measure my old placemats to compare the size, which I should have done because these are a few inches longer, so at my 40"square table, the corners of the mats overlap when I have four down at once...and I don't really like that. But I will live it.Two things to mention on the con side...three of my mats were definitely more creamy/yellow and three were more creamy/off white, the latter being what I was hoping for. These are natural cotton scraps, so variations are to be expected I guess. Also they did have a smell when I opened the box. I washed them and hung them out to dry. They still have a slight smell which I'm sure will go away with the next washing.All in all, I like them very much.

These are really thick & heavyweight, and I love the "dobby" type of texture to them. I find them very beautiful and unique. The only downside (as others have mentioned) is the odor, they have a very powerful odor I cannot put my finger on-half chemical maybe, half organic? I think in time it may go away, I plan to wash them of course before using, then hang them outside in the cold winter air for a couple days. That hopefully will do the trick. But the quality looks really great and I hope I can enjoy these for years to come. I might even buy more in a different color.UPDATE- The odor pretty much went away on its own, and was completely gone after I washed them. However, the bumpy/dobby areas changed after washing....quite a few on each placemat has unwound so there are random pieces of the cut edges of the material sticking out. On a sweater, I might pull these out and hope they were simply loose, on these I won't do that in case I make a hole(maybe I can trim them since they are the end pieces of the material). So now they don't look quite as nice on the table, more like thick little porcupine quills sticking up all over the place. I decided not to buy another set-these ended up being much more rustic than I initially thought they would be, and now look more, well, scruffy.

They have the texture and thickness I was after but each is a different size. Only a couple are 13x19, the others vary 13x15-21.Also, unfortunately, they became deformed after the first delicate cycle machine wash.

Tienen un olor raro, como a plástico que se les ha quitado de a poco, fuera de ahí la calidad es super buena y son muy bonitos. Uno de los 6 viene unos cm mas chiquito que los demás pero acomodados en la mesa no se nota para nada. Los volveria a comprar.

Me gustó mucho, buen tamaño, buena calidad y colores y súper tiempo de entrega.
