Highly doubtful that this is a Dyson filter as advertised
Few things to note as to why I make this finding that this is not a Dyson filter as advertised. I want to explain first that I replaced my OEM filter with after market filters. However, my vacuum was not working right, so I purchased this filter, as it is advertised as Dyson brand.So first reason. The appearance of this filter looks very cheap compared to my cheaper knock-off filter. Yes you heard that right, this filter looks CHEAPER. The lines on this filter are not exact, instead, they are sloppy. The filter that has the image of the faucet looks thin, even thinner then my knock off. In fact, there is a large seam on it that you can actually see through, that doesn't even go all the way to the top! So now, let's talk about feel.The knock off and this filter feels extremely similar, with one exception, and that's the seam. The seam on the knock off is thinner, where the seam on this one is large, and looks like it will come apart.Lastly, there is ZERO Dyson branding on this filter, and it lacks the QR code that original filters are supposed to have. The filter itself also has less filtration space, as there are thick plastic bars all around, compared to thin ones that my original had. Even the knock off had the thinner bars.Now, I don't know if Dyson changed their filters. I know making things cheaply is a trend that companies do. If this is true, then shame on Dyson. Regardless, this filter is extremely cheaply made, and I will be returning it. Please note, I did not install the filter, so I can not talk about how it makes the vacuum function. But due to all I mentioned above, I feel installing this would put my vacuum in even more jeopardy. Extremely disappointed.
