Nature's Way Dim-Plus Capsules

I decided to try out a DIM supplement as a solution to my insane mood swings. The week before my period, I was like an insane person. Although I had some sucky bloating and cramping, I also had crippling psychological side-effects. Sure, I was extremely weepy and cranky, but most troubling for me was how suspicious and paranoid I became for an entire week before my period. It has been frustrating for me because no PMS/PMDD diagnosis ever mentions paranoia - they just say "anxious" - this was not anxiety, this was full blown tinfoil hat level paranoia. At the same time, I couldn't concentrate, so my work suffered; I couldn't deal with my boyfriend in any rational way, so our relationship has been suffering. I have endured this cyclical hell since I was a teenager, so for over twenty years I've lived like this, basically hiding from everyone for a week every month so I didn't destroy my life with how out-of-control I felt. I've had doctors prescribe xanax and prozac in an effort to help me have a semblance of normalcy in this time, which didn't really help. I tried everything I could think of to fix the problem through diet and exercise: I don't drink, eat mostly organic food, drink tons of water, and don't eat much sugar; I do yoga, weight lift and take walks in the sun. Nothing helped, in fact, it has been getting worse with every passing year. What used to be a week of hell has been becoming a week and a half.I started taking DIM about a month ago. Within an hour of taking the first dose, about three days before my period, I felt euphorically calm, but not in a sleepy, xanax way. I just felt this peace wash over my body. Maybe it was a placebo effect, but I don't think so. I'm pretty aware of how my body reacts to external substances. Through this last month, I've been taking one or two everyday, and now I'm about three days until my next period and it's been a breeze: no paranoia, no depression, no cramps, little bloating. Other reviewers say that their period "snuck up" on them because the typical misery they had wasn't there. I'm not at that point, but...nearly. It's remarkable.I'd had my hormones tested and was assured that everything was fine. I don't want to cast doubt on the medical community, but obviously my symptoms were tied to my cycle and obviously everything was not fine.So here are some bad things: I had cystic acne until my early twenties, but that had cleared up. I had a couple more blemishes than usual this month. I had some spotting for a few days after my last period ended. I did have terrible headaches for a week, when I first started, but that's NOTHING compared to how much better I feel.I will try to remember to update this in a few months, to give a more long-term picture of my results.

I was skeptical of this supplement at first, as estrogen dominance runs in my family and I had never heard of DIM before. However, I was scheduled to get my period in about 12 days when I started taking this supplement so I hoped it would mitigate the rising levels of estrogen just before my period.Within 3 days of taking DIM, my period started! It worked so well that I triggered the drop in hormone to initiate my cycle! Definitely looking forward to taking DIM so that I can alleviate the rising estrogen levels at certain points in my monthly cycle. Definitely recommend this supplement, but be sure to work with your physician so they know you're taking it.

I am a long distance truck driver and was having a a very hard time driving my shift because I was so tired from tossing and turning during the night as I would get severe hot flashes. I asked at my health store for a recommendation and she recommended NW DIM. I have never been happier. After taking it for 3 weeks I started to notice I was sleeping thru the night and even noticed that the day time hot flashes were all but non existent. After 4 weeks the hot flashes were gone completely. I get lots of compliments on my skin but had not thought to give DIM the credit. I have been taking DIM for 8 months and can't live without it.I have recommended this to my other trucker friends and everyone is hooked on DIM. Our husbands are happy to :)

This was recommended by my PCP so I purchased it. I found out I have breast cancer and the Breast Cancer Surgeon said the cancer loves estrogen and not to take it. Just something to think about and be aware of for your health. I just tried to return it but learned it is not returnable. I don't usually purchase from a company that does not accept returns but I missed this one.

I suffer hormone acne for several years. I paid so much money on dermatologists that really whatever they prescribed help me for few months plus between doctors and prescription was really expensive. I was really skeptical about this pills but I decided to give a try. I’m glad I did !!!!
