Unable to complete assembly
I ordered this kitchen island in the beech finish, and it took two of us about 3 or 4 hours over 2 days to mostly get it together. According to the directions, the tools needed are a hammer and a phillips screwdriver. It also specifically said, No Power Tools Needed. We encountered several problems.1- More than once, the predrilled holes for screws on the unfinished sides were too small for the screw to start, or actually missing, so I needed to use my drill to finish opening the holes so that screws could fit into them.2- There were NO PRE DRILLED HOLES FOR THE WHEELS, and each wheel had 4 screws to hold it in place. So we had to mark each screw hole and then use the drill to create a hole for the screws. And of course, one time the drill went too far and came out the other side. This of course left a splintered area in the back of the floor inside of the cabinet.I can live with that, and we carried on.3- The 22 nails that were supplied to be hammered into the perimeter of the back panel, were .75 inches long and too small. After smashing my thumb with the hammer because the nails are too small for me to hold, I used my own longer nails instead.4- The very last step was attaching the doors. The 4 stoppers that needed to be attached, 2 for each door panel, 1 for the top of the door, and 1 for the bottom, were to be attached using a total of 8 screws. There were no predrilled holes for any of the screws. All of the screws need to be used on the finished sides of the doors. I will not use my drill to create the holes for the screws because the wood will splinter and also because the doors are not thick, and there is the real possibility of the drill going right through the door.On 11/21/20, I sent a message via the Amazon link to UnbeatableSale about the door issue only, and requested a set of doors with the predrilled holes. I do not want a replacement island to put together again. The next day, 11/22, I received an email back saying that they would follow up in 1-2 business days. Today is the third business day, and I received an email asking me to rate my purchase. I did try to call UnbeatableSale. Their recording said that it would be better to send an email, which of course I had already done on 11/21. I will email them this review, also. This kitchen island is beautiful and would have been a welcome addition to my kitchen. It is a sturdy piece of furniture that I believe will hold up as a place to use my heavy mixer and my Instapot. The shelves are deep and wide and could hold a variety of items. The wheels are not that great. They spun fine in my hand, but once they were on the island, it is hard to maneuver as the wheels do not spin as freely with the weight on them.I cannot recommend it, though, as the need to drill holes in the finished wood where it will be visible would be ugly. I will update this review once I hear from the seller.

It's a pain to put together
Update- this item is not holding up well. The top of it is sturdy but the shelves inside are drooping and sagging. Have had other particle board where that didn’t happen but this one not so great. This is particle board. The handles are plastic. The "hinges" are plastic and are a challenge to get on and have the doors evenly placed. There were dings on corners and some blemishes elsewhere but I can live with it for the price. What I regret is the time it took to put it together- time I will never get back. It took me 3 hours with assistance as needed from my son for parts I needed more than 2 hands. One of the steps - putting the #6 piece in after the side shelves is a mistake because the screw is so close to tide outside side shelves its takes forever to tighten. I ended up taking the side shelves off and then putting the #6 piece on then reattaching the #6 piece. I had to use power tools to put the casters on as there were no pre-drilled holes for the casters or for the hinges to the doors which makes getting the correct spacing for the doors really time consuming. I could have done without the side shelves - not sure what I will use those for, but that was my doing as I knew it included them. All in all, a decent purchase. I am pretty handy but would have preferred to spend my Saturday doing other things

Perfect for my need
This looks nice in my old Formica wood look kitchen. It is the perfect size doesn’t take a lot of depth space yet has good storage. I took the handles off and not using the spice rack etc because I’m keeping it stationary. I would have liked something to cover those holes but my husband filled them with wood putty. Not perfect.. the top counter scratched easily but I’m thinking of eventually putting a new top on it anyway.
