This tool works great and there are a lot of sizes in the case .We'll worth the money.

I bought this kit in preparation for a complete suspension refresh on my 2003 Mini Cooper S. This kit made easy work of pressing out the old, worn bushings and pressing in my new bushings. I used a press for the work and not the threaded rods that come in this kit because I have access to a press. I use this kit regularly as a professional mechanic but even if you only need to do your own car, this kit is worth having because it makes the job SO much easier instead of trying to rig stuff together. Buy the right tool for the job and be happy.

All the parts seem pretty high quality and durable. Used this to install some new front lower control arm bushings on a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Plenty of sizes to choose from so you'd likely be covered. Recommend only using hand tools to tighten and loosen. Bearings seems heavy duty but could be vibrated apart if using power tools. This also came in handy in conjunction with the 12ton press when parts are fully removed from the car.

The case is not what is pictured. I lacks a hinged lid as shown. The lid hinge is just thin plastic that will easily fail from bending. The selection of press cups and their quality is excellent. The threaded shafts and nut are sized appropriately to align the cups over the bushing. The weak point is the ball bearings and race that ride against the compressing nut. They fail because the torque needed to move the bushing beaks the race under the nut and the bearing fall out. I used it in one bushing and the race bearing and race failed. Luckily actual bearing is held in place by an O-ring and you can substitute one from another driving nut. The cups sizes are excellent and heavy duty. If you have a press and can align the cups against the bushing they work great. However because of position some bushings require the use of the threaded shafts. Stronger bearing and races are need to handle the torque of the twisting nut against the cup. They should add a bag of bearings and races to this kit

Cups are strong but the rods do bend easily. Once they become even slightly bent they are unusable because the thread compresses. Also note that the smallest cup was slightly larger than most of the bushings on my (Honda) suspension so I ended up using a large socket to complete the job. Make sure to measure your bushings prior to choosing a set. I bent half of the included rods but I will keep the set to use for when I get an actual shop press.

So far I've used this kit to press out/in rear subframe bushings, differential bushings, & front control arm bushings (forward & rearward). I will be using this kit to press out/in the entire rear suspension bushings as well. There are a few things to note... Some bushings are longer than the depth of the cups. There is a simple solution for this. You can use a variety of things as a spacer to extend the depth of the cups. I just use a few bolts (it's what I had here) to go between the cup and the control arm to get the extra bit that I needed to remove the large control arm bushings. So far this has paid for itself numerous times over with the work that I've been able to do because of this set. I haven't bent, broken, or stripped any of the threaded rods but I did cut them down a bit. They are a lot longer than needed for any job I'll ever use them for. (2008 BMW 335i)

I used this product for the proper application of removing bushings from control arms. One of the spindles broke, bent and the threads stripped. Also the bearing on the nut broke for one of the spindle sizes and 2 of the nuts got stuck on the top of the driver cups and could not be removed. Overall I think this product is poor quality and the spindles are just not strong enough for the application as a bushing removal tool. I did have success with removing the bushings that I needed to though.

Spot on. Really good quality, heavy duty, does the job really well.

I used this to push bushings into a 1989 gmc sierra control arm worked great i just had to brace the control arm to prevent bending it ive also been using them on my shop press

Small rod end washer bearing snapped on first use. The over all quality doesn't seem bad. The customer service is excellent and made it correct.
