Very good quality latches. We had to use them on some interior sliding barn doors I made because our 3 year old is strong enough now to move the doors.

Mount both pieces horizontally
Perfect to keep armoire doors closed; be sure you mount both pieces so the squares are horizontal. Hubby made a mistake of mounting one vertical and the latch horizontal. It still works, but it looks like it's not level.

This latch is very attractive and well made. Heavy weight material made to last a lifetime.

Rust
Began to show rust in only several days. Supplied screws are slothead, not phillips or torque which is a pain. Not happy with this item.

Looks good, works well
This latch looks perfect with the rustic barn door hardware we also got from Amazon. It keeps the dogs from opening the door with their noses and pouncing on unsuspecting guests trying to sleep!
