Cute and fun!
This is so cute and fun. I love how it’s easy to connect to my iPhone and how easy it is to use the app and print your photos. The quality is decent, sometimes the tone is not 100% accurate or there’s a small blemish on the photo, but I really love the product! I own a instax and this, and I prefer just being able to print the photo over the instax cameras. I recommend this to anyone that loves to journal! It’s the perfect size photo.

Surprisingly Useful
I'm actually amazed at how much I love this thing. I'm a middle-aged woman who doesn't like pictures of herself or photo albums or anything like that, but being able to print off a meme from my phone and pop it in a birthday card is incredible. In terms of actual item quality - the photos aren't museum quality. They're tiny, which means the lines, definition, colors are sometimes a little bit off from something professionally printed, for instance. But still - really useful for little, everyday needs. I use it a heck of a lot more often than I expected.

Great and would buy again
TLDR: overall 4/5 stars, only gripe is the app is the cant print edits from an iphone. there are some janky work arounds like making all the edits and then screenshotting that edit and printing it. Also the printer can be a bit finicky if you dont know what youre doing.pros: - literally fits in my back pocket, and wayyy smaller than even a 2x3 polaroid camera- good quality print for its size (be realistic, if you want high quality prints get a $300 desk printer)- prints pretty quick, once you select a picture it only takes about 50 seconds to print- lots of fun at parties, just had our Christmas party and printed about 30 pictures for everyone- cheaper than polaroids, at about $0.30 per picture its a lot cheaper than polaroids- its just flat out fun to take a pic and print it for people, and everyone like it at partiescons: - it "can" jam a lot, basically hold it upright while its printing and i had zero jamming issues. But ittook me a few prints to figure that out- its not a fast as a polaroid, you have to take a pic with your phone, turn on the printer, wait for itto connect, select and print the picture. realistically its 2-3 minutes from the time you take thepicture to the time its done printing. which isn't a big deal but don't expect an instant click &print like polaroidssidenote: the pictures dont look like a polaroid, if you want that just add a polaroid filter over your picture and then print it.

Tested 4 portable printers. Best performing but very difficult to find paper/ink
I tested 4 portable printers side-by-side. This was the standout for my 12 year old. The second best in photo quality (to the Canon SELPHY QX10) with very good quality. The app and device is far easier for my 12 yo to manage and more features.I want so much to give this a 5-star rating, but finding the replacement paper and ink is nearly impossible. (Note…this is advertised by Amazon “with” the Zink paper as an add-on which is not the right paper. )If you don’t care about photo quality, Canon Ivy is a great option. Easy to use. Great app. Lots of extra features in the app. Quality is “decent enough” lacks clarity and often dark.Canon SELPHY QX 10 is the best quality, but only prints square format and is slightly more tricky to use…certainly not prohibitively difficult…just not as easy for a 12 yo. The prints can be stickers which I like far better than I thought I would. Fun to stick in journals, etc. paper is slightly easier to find.Instax printer was my least favorite for photo quality and usability, however, it uses the same paper as the instant cameras, so it is easy to find.

Pleasantly Surprised!
I’m very happy that I went with this Kodak Mini 2 Retro photo printer instead of any of the others. I spent hours researching all the different brands of these little fellas, watching videos, reading tons of reviews, etc… I purchased this printer to take on our cross country road trip & cruise from Los Angeles to print out pics along the way for our travel journal. Of course, price was also a factor as I couldn’t see spending a huge amount for something that I wouldn’t use on a daily basis & only on our travels which equates to about 4-5 times a year. One of the main differences with this one vs some of the others is that it’s not a “sticker”… which is happily okay about as I have double sided sticky tape that easily fits into my bag. I will admit that getting it on sale for $85 & that it came with the 3 cartridges that totals 68 photos also helped in my decision to buy this one. I also looked at the price of replacement film cartridges for in the future & how much each photo would end up costing. (Replacement cartridges were just under $18 for a total of 60 photos… two cartridges of 30.) This Kodak Mini 2 Retro ultimately ticked all the boxes - economical replacement cartridges, photo quality & overall price. The app was easy to add & connect via Bluetooth to my iPhone 15 Plus. Upon trying it out, print speed took less than a minute for it to print out. And as you see, the photo of my husband’s cat “Bowie” printed out quite beautifully! I wasn’t expecting a professional photo by any means but it turned out much better than I expected!! The picture quality is really quite good! The app also allows you to add a border (as I did in my photo) as well as adjusting colors & do some editing. I did absolutely nothing to this photo as I just wanted to print out a basic photo to check it’s overall photo quality. (I am “technically challenged”.😄 Which is another reason why I wanted something easy/simple.) The size of the printer is also nicely compact & will fit in my small carry-on bag. It came with the cord that you need to charge it but not the block… which is fine as I have a drawer full of those things. I would definitely recommend this photo printer… whether you want it for scrapbooking, photo journaling or just to print out photos on the spot to share. I am very happy with this little photo printer.
