No major issues - it works well and the quality is overall good. The fit is slightly tight but I think the original was tight too. Great buy!

I own two KC-860U units, and this Fette filter has been working well for one of them. When the 2nd unit needed a replacement filter, I went with one by Nispira on Amazon because it came in a pretty shade of blue. What a mistake it was to cheat on my Fette! The blue filter was quite a bit smaller than this one and didn’t properly fit the machine. As a result, my 860U kept on giving me an E2 error code—Abnormal Humidifying Filter. So, I decided to return it and get myself another Fette filter. It has been working perfectly well, and I will never cheat on you again, Fette!

These humidifier wicks work great, at a much cheaper price point than the original Versions.

Fits like original, seems to work like original. I have noticed an odor, as others have, after some use but I find that this only occurs when I leave the humidifier running and the system runs out of water, which seems to make the filter stop rotating and the stagnant water in the base leading to that moldy smell (my theory of what’s happening). I bought two of these now and rotate them out when this happens—once a week when I or my partner neglect the machine. I take the smelly one out, put it in a big bowl with dish soap for ~20 min, clear the soap and dry it in the sun for the afternoon (don’t squish the filter because it will lose its shape and won’t last as long) and the smell is gone and ready to use again.

This filter is a direct replacement filter for my machine. No issues at all. Very pleased with my purchase.

Works exactly like the original for half the price. Very good alternative. There is only one issue: after few weeks of use starts to smell. To avoid odor, rinse it under running water before each use and it will not smell.I will order again.

EDIT: They started to smell mildew-ey after about 3 weeks. I have to clean them a lot more frequently than the OEM ones. I've started using a bacteriostatic humidifier sanitizer, and that has helped a lot.They seem to be fine so far; they don't give off any weird smells, and they are maintaining the humidity in the room at exactly the same level as the Sharp OEM filters do, for 1/2 the price. The only downside is they aren't cut right, so the fit is very tight and takes a lot more effort to get them installed. Otherwise, very happy with them so far... will update the review if they start to smell bad or catch fire or start throwing racial epithets or any other undesirable thing that the OEM ones don't do.
