Worked when other methods failed.
When we moved into our new house one year ago, we were told that our kitchen granite countertops were sealed. It turns out they weren't, at least not properly, and over time we developed a large oil stain along the countertop edge abutting our gas range. We tried hydrogen peroxide and baking soda poultices, as well as acetone treatment (recommended by our countertop installer) all to minimal effect. Then after googling I came across this product. I had my doubts but purchased a 3-ounce can. A single treatment removed much of the oil, so we purchased the pint can and after the second treatment the stain was completely removed! We treated a large area (approximately 100 square inches) using a wooden spatula to achieve the recommended 1/4" thickness. We had to let it sit for 96 hours to completely dry as there were still some tacky spots after 72 hours. The product easily scraped off, and then we let it dry another 24 hours. We wiped the countertop with denatured alcohol followed by Granite Gold (a daily granite cleaner product) and sealed the countertop. It now looks great. You need to be patient, but we highly recommend this product.

THIS JUST WORKS!
I was skeptical at first but, so I bought the small can to test treat both an oil spot and water ring. I have granite countertops and was assured they had been sealed, they were not, at least not with anything that prevented stains.I first tested a water ring just to see if it works on something I would consider "easy" to pull up. Yes, I know it says oil stain remover but I was still curious..... IT WORKED! I waited the 3 days after putting it down, was easy to scrape up and after cleaning the residue, you could not even tell there was a stain there.I then wanted to test on an actual oil stain. The countertops on either side of the stove are fairly stained. I took a small section and put the remaining product on it. This was dry and cracked and ready to come off after two days. I'm assuming that is because there was so much oil in the stone, it pulled it up quickly. SAME RESULT as above, you could immediately tell the stained stone from the stone I just cleaned. As a result, I did the big stain on our kitchen island (prep area) and that now looks like it did when we moved into the house, brand new! I bought their sealer and cleaner as well. I just received 4 more big cans and plan on doing the rest of the counter tops shortly and will try and upload some before and after pictures since I totally forgot to do it for the island until it was too late. When you use for a big area this be sure you properly ventilate your house if doing it inside! The smell is over powering and citrusy. If you are doing some spot removal, it should not be too terrible. The other issue I had was using the proper amount, directions say 1/4" thick, but that does not cover much space. I did stretch it a little bit but I wish they sold bigger cans! I will not downgrade my rating due to these things because it absolutely worked perfectly and soon ALL my granite will look like it did when we first moved in!

Not Recommend
So I tried this product out on cleaning out 6 year old counter tops. You could hardly see any difference between the part that was needing cleaning and that looked like day one. In addition the removal process was not to easy. The cleaner when dried seems to get into the microscopic pores of the stone and becomes a nightmare to remove. I .glad I tried a small out of the way spot first and recommend doing as well. Also note the cam doesn't seal very well once you open it up. I placed it in our garage after using it for the trial spot and a few days later there was an extremely strong chemical smell in the garage that would knock you on your but and it also for some reason leaked out through the lid and bypassed the seal that comes with it down the can and all over. The garage does get a little warner than the house but not much so heat shouldn't have been an issue.Again - I would recommend something else besides this for your counter tops.

Works great
The smell is super strong, and really citrusy. Took a day or two for the smell to dissipate. Worked great on olive oil stains that weren’t too old but took several applications for older stains I didn’t know I had. Would recommend.

Didn't work for me!
We left a bottle of vegetable oil sitting for a long time and it had a slow leak. It left some dark spots. Thank goodness the granite design doesn't show since there was no change.

May take multiple applications
We didn't realize that our toaster oven was leaking oil and staining our quartzite counter. After one application, we noticed that the stain was a little lighter. I purchased the larger can and applied 5 more times. I have included before and after pictures. The lighting is different in the pictures, but if you follow the veins in the pictures, you can see the difference in the pictures. I'm very satisfied with the product. Don't give up after one application.

Didn't work, very unpleasant odor.
Followed the directions to the letter and kept window open for days to vent. Didn't lift out the stain on my countertop and the fumes coming off this goop induced a massive headache even with ventilation. Just didn't work for me.

Worked like a charm!
Brand new, sealed ( apparently not well sealed) limestone floors. Dripped olive oil in one area and another area some sort of dark stain that I had no idea what it was. I tried soap, baking soda, bleach good ole scrubbing etc. nothing worked until this product. Had to go through the process twice on each stain and it pulled out the oil. Amazing!! Great product!
