DysonGenuine DC40 Upright Vacuum Cleaner Change Over Valve Hose, Grey

it says DC40 in the description, but it also fits other models. I replaced a broken one on my DC50 and it worked perfectly. It requires a little bit of work to get to it and replace it, but it is not too difficult. There are Youtube videos that can show you how to replace it. My vacuum now works like it did when it was new.

Very easy to do but the parts involved are very fragile to work with. The suction is great again on the machine. Very good replacement.

I wasn't sure what quality to expect but after a couple weeks of use, it is working fine. I wouldn't call it easy to install but there are plenty of videos online to help out. Now I have a fully functioning hand-me-down Dyson vacuum!

Perfect fit, took less than 40 minutes to remove and replace the old valve a test run. Vacuum works like new for less than 20$, longevity TBD.No instructions were provided but there are enough You Tube videos available for assistance..

Looks well made and fitted in just like the original part. Will have to see how it holds up over time.

The part itself is easy enough to replace, getting to it and putting the vacuum back together is another story, lol!

Her vacuum stopped sucking so I took a look. Yep the hose was almost in two pieces. This part was a perfect fit and after a quick search for a video of how to replace it she was back in action. Only took about 5 minutes to replace.

I though my Dyson had given up as the suction had dropped on both the base and the hose. I had tried cleaning and replacing both the hepa and pre motor filters but neither made a difference. I stumbled across this change over valve and thought it was worth trying as it only cost £10. I looked online and there are several Youtube video guides on how to change it, all very straight forward. You will need some Torque screwdrivers (star shaped, I think one was a 6mm and another slightly larger). One changed my Dyson was like new, now the suction is so strong I struggle to move it!

Arrived in a timely manner and fitted the machine and now suction!

Ordered on 12th Feb and received today here in sunny Singapore, so proceeded to change it out . Once a few torx screws and clip come out you can replace this easily. 10 year old Dyson DC40 Animal did it's job perfectly as I vacuumed the house today. Wife is happy that the floor and carpet is clean after nearly 1 week. Happy wife, happy life.

Give new life to the hoover, suction is like a new hoover, been using it over the past 5 or 6 weeks no problems as yet, so for me excellent so far.

This replaced the original part perfectly. Plenty of instructions online available so with a little bit of DIY knowledge and a lot of fiddling I successfully changed the split hose and my Dyson is working efficiently again. Now if I could quieten it down a bit ....
