great staining
Always have loved this stain! Cant get it in stores anymore so I loaded up! I redid all of the painted wood in my 1876 house with this and it was so much easier than trying to get the paint off. Just wipe on white painted anything, and you have a beautiful wood finish and then put a couple of coats of varnish on it after it dries and you are done!! No stripping and sanding, and scrapping!! Takes a little practice if you are a newbe to staining, but you will get it on the first try.

The solution I was looking for without stripping and/or sanding.
This stain was the perfect solution to darken already stained cabinets for a client. No sanding was needed. I did use two coats to get the look I wanted. I plan to use in my own home soon to darken beams and a staircase. Very happy with it!

This stain is incredibly dark and does not remotely match the Spanish Oak we had from Carver-Tripp

Easy App, Very Dark-Closer to Black Than Gray
Applied and worked as described. It is much darker than the picture shows. There is little to no gray color. It is closer to black.

I was hoping to match another Spanish Oak from Calver Tripp’s that’s no longer in business but this stain is much lighter then I needed

Good stain. Can slightly damaged.
Worked fine. Can was beaten up pretty bad in shipping. It leaked a bit. I had to get a new can and pour the stain into it.
