Solid Quality Player
Bought after looking at few players, was after something cheap as I had just lost a player (which duly turned up after the purchase!) Main drive of the purchase is the 32GB internal storage giving the price, Bluetooth 5 and the stylish looks. On receipt I was impressed with the overall quality, the device does have a sleek feel and look about it. However I think you can ignore the video and text features as the screen is too small. Sound quality is fine with Amazon Echo Buds and even the included wired phone buds are reasonable. Note that the Bluetooth is version 5 which will given even longer battery duration when paired with equivalent buds like the Amazon Echos. The only niggle was that only the included USB cable would allow me to transfer music on the device, all my other USB cables allowed charging but no transfer. A bit odd but there you go - I almost sent the device back till I found this out. Not tried much else out as it works fine as a mp3/Flac player. The random does seem to be ordered as per transfer order, so not really random. Overall very good value for a quality device that shouldn't disappoint most people with reasonable expectations. Oh and the battery seems to be decent quality as well, this is the key thing to worry about with cheap players as this is often where costs are shaved. Really quite impressive.

Good player with some issues you may struggle with
AGPtek mp3 players are mostly well built, capable players, let down by some poor ui design and lack of available usage information. This is the best player I've bought yet, but some of its issues are properly awkward. So. First, Bluetooth. Unlike the player it's replacing (an A02S) its bluetooth functionality seems greatly improved. For one thing, it seems to find devices fairly quickly and, unlike some players, you don't seem to sacrifice a ton of functions in order to make use of it. And it's reasonably intuitive. It seems to need to be activated every time you use it, though, and you have to navigate back to the music functionality afterwards. Sound quality seems pretty good - but the equaliser is best ignored. Add on card management - spotty. The player only looks in one place for stuff to play. So if you've navigated (via the folder option on the menu) to your plug in card, it won't play anything stored in internal memory until you've accessed it via the folder option. At which point, you lose the card. If you have a playlist stored in the internal memory but you last accessed the plugin card, you can still try to open your playlist, but the player will tell you that it's empty. Making playlists is complicated, for that reason. The easiest approach is to use the player to build a playlist from a track you've navigated to, then edit the created playlist in a text editor using what you can see about how the player made the playlist as a learning tool to help you extend it. You will be best served by ensuring your mp3s are named with the track number preceding the rest of the filename, with an appropriate number of leading zeroes, if you want your albums to play in track order. The touch sensitive part of the screen is restricted to just the button elements in the bottom half. I keep trying to use it like my phone - I imagine I'll get used to it! The touch sensitive buttons really are very easy to activate by accident, so I find it's a good idea to tap the power button (switching the screen and buttons off) before putting the player down or in a pocket or whatever. If there's a button lock function that leaves the screen on, I haven't found it yet. The front panel attracts fingerprints like crazy. I hope there's a good screen protector out there... Oh, playback resumes where you left off after power down without fuss. It also starts playing if it was playing when you switched off, or not if you paused it first. I'd rather it always started paused but that just means I need to remember to pause it before powering down... Oh, and unlike my older Agptek player, the display doesn't include the track progression data (like, track 6 out of a playlist of 15 should show something like 6/15 and just doesn't.) The bookmark feature remains limited to a time offset with no tie to the specific track being played, which is another old complaint, so it's less useful than it might be, along with the failure to merge internal and external music databases. Because of the database limitations, you may prefer to keep related things grouped in folders and build playlists yourself. That's a bit of a pain but it's educational... 😀 But if you can cope with (or don't care about) the technical limitations, it's still an amazing player for the price. 32gb and feels robust and solid (although I wouldn't recommend bouncing it off solid objects, those screens are probably not shockproof...) If Agptek are paying attention, your firmware definitely needs work but there's the basis of something amazing and brilliant here...

Much better than some reviews suggest
I love this mp3 player! Strong Bluetooth connection and a fantastic sound with a pair of good quality headphones, I use Bose qc35ii and Sony xm4. I checked quickly through my folders to check the order of tracks. Then dragged and dropped straight into the “Folder” section, NOT the mp3 section! I uploaded around 100 albums and not one track was out of place! The album info was all there too. It feels reassuringly solid and well made! The only slight drawback is that you have to go back a few steps each time you would like to go to a different album, (no idea how there could be another way of doing that so not a problem) otherwise it will happily play through your albums in the order they are in your folder…,all day! The battery life is excellent! Seems to me that they have addressed many of the problems other people have encountered and I think they need commended for that! It’s a great little player and beats the HyBi one I had to send back hands down! (That was almost £400 and you couldn’t turn your head without dropouts or slurring of sound! This is bombproof and connects very quickly to previously connected devices) Also I couldn’t notice any difference in sound quality despite the £350 difference! Better in my pocket, just like this little gem! A great buy!

Software needs an update
The product as a whole is fine but the software is not "bad" but does have some minor annoyances and definitely needs an improvement. The first issue I had was that it reads file names literally. I've had MP3 players in the past that ignore the track number on the file name and uses the file information from the file data itself (like the artist and album) but this one doesn't so when I transferred all my music I had to go through all 430 songs and edit out the track number in the file names; it also includes the file type in the name as well. Another problem is that it cuts off some long song titles. An example would be for the song For A Pessimist I'm Pretty Optimistic by Paramore gets cut-off and ends up as For a Pessimist I'm Pretty Optim - so file names can only really be 32 characters long which can get slightly annoying But the sound quality, battery life and other stuff is fine. Just minor niggles with the user interface and software. Also, only the cable they give you with the MP3 will allow you to transfer files, other cables will only charge it so I'd recommend tagging the cable before you chuck it with all the other cables that look like the android phone chargers - don't make my mistake and end up needing to look for it for half an hour.

Good bit of kit
I purchased one of these last year, when Samsung updated my phone, and removed the ability to play my stored music. Despite being a 'silver surfer', I moved all my music to my laptop and on to this little beauty, works really well, and easy to navigate around. My wife is now suffering the same with her Samsung, so this purchase is for her, delivered on time and it's working just as well as mine. Pity it's not available in different colours to make sure we don't mix them up.

Doesn't rewind to specific part. Cheap and nasty.
Firstly it plays downloaded videos. However if you want to fast forward or rewind. The player restarts from the biginning. This is the main problem I have gone through the manual extensively, but there is no option to stop auto forward or back. Design flaw I'm guessing but also this probably happens due to it not being touch screen. Not happy with this purchase and I will definitely not recommend this from my followers.

Great sound.
Sleek and lightweight mp3 player. Excellent battery life , only had to charge up once a week, if that .Sound quality is excellent. Easy to "drag and drop" music files across from i-tunes account. 2000 songs transfered and used less than half of 32 gig memory. Added memory card slot enables sd card to be inserted for increased memory storage. After using for couple of months now, it appears that the player doesn't recognise certain file formats, as some of my i-tunes purchases are missing. Only tracks added to iTunes from cds and purchases from amazon music seem to have transferred across, curious and not sure how to fix. User interface is a bit of let down, found it awkward to navigate at first, but as I listen to music on shuffle play not a huge problem. Finding a specific song can be a bit of an irritation as you have to search through every song, an alphabetical search facility would have been good. Playing an individual album will play tracks in alphabetical order rather than as they are listed which is annoying, (this can be rectified by adding album tracks to a playlist) .Also pink writing on blue and black background can be tricky to see sometimes. Bluetooth connectivity was easy to pair with Bluetooth speaker and my skullcandy earphones. Very good product for the price, one or two minor drawbacks but would still recommend.
