This is the one to pick to get rid of Lice!
This product overall is the best being a teacher for years and years. I recommend this product to all the parents first because it really kills them. You usually don't even have to repeat it. It's affordable too. So this is the one you want if you're trying to get rid of lice.

Kills Some Lice, Can Cause Reaction
I would give this product 4 stars but with some caveats. As far as louse-killing abilities it definitely killed all of the adult louses on my daughter's head, which made combing them out easier. It did not kill all of the nymphs and eggs; I have been continuing to wet comb her hair every 1-2 days and we still are combing out a couple nits. I wouldn't expect any of the current products on the market to get rid of all the full grown lice, nymphs, and nits in one application anyway, but just wanted to note this. The comb with the kit works okay, but I highly recommend getting a better quality comb because the one in the kit just won't catch all of the tiny nymphs and nits. I suggest the nit free terminator comb or the licemeister comb as a companion to this stuff. The stuff itself is extremely oily/greasy and you probably won't be able to get it all out of your/your child's hair until the 3rd or 4th washing after using it, so be prepared to have greasy hair for a bit. It eventually does come out. The biggest caveat is that my kids reacted to this stuff in the form of a red, burning rash. One of my kids it was more subtle on her neck/ears. But my youngest was getting a red, hive-ey rash on her cheeks up to her eyes for a couple days after treatment. My suggestion would be to coat their neck and ears with vaseline before you use this product to help minimize rash/irritation from the product and/or soap (which is hard to wash out the first few times after the treatment is used). It did help to give them Benadryl while the rash was active and uncomfortable. I know that people can get itchy/rashy from the lice bites, but this rash only developed after use of the product, so I think it was a reaction to the ingredients in it. Granted it's not a pesticide, but people can still react to things even if they aren't pesticidal. Other than those caveats I would recommend this as part of your treatment process if your child has a decent infestation. For a very small infestation I would probably skip this and just do the wet combing.

Didn't work like I hoped it would
I think they changed the formula because it seems to have worked better a few years ago when we used it

This stuff was the only thing that killed everything!
My kiddo picked up lice somewhere around July 22. Today is Sept 28. For months, I have tried several products/methods for eliminating these bugs. I’ve done RID, the regular Nix, the ‘airy fairy’ type sprays, essential oils (combined and separately) and I have put in the hard work of vacuuming EVERYTHING (car included), put away all stuffed animals and almost incinerated my hot water heater with the ridiculous amount of laundry I’ve done, trying to just kill all traces of it. Each of the methods I used on her hair all produced some result of dead bugs and nits combed out, but nothing got completely rid of all of it. Every time I rechecked my hair or hers, there were more bugs and nits. Omg, the nits! One day after an hour long comb out, I literally sat in my bathroom floor and cried. So many months of this! The treating, the comb outs, the laundry, the time, the money spent...I seriously didn’t know what else to do. I bought this with a heavy heart at all the time and money already spent and I am so glad I did! This stuff killed everything. When I rechecked and recombed, there was nothing! After months of bugs, I am extremely relieved (to say the least) that she and I both are lice free! I’ve combed out every day for 7 days and not found one nit or bug! This is the stuff. Edit- I will also say it IS oily. If you can possibly wait until a weekend and treat on Friday night (wash out as directed) then just wash hair again Sunday night (the first wash will not get all the oily residue out) and I like to leave the residue (albeit slight) on for another day (skip washing Saturday). But the Sunday regular shampoo wash will finish getting the residue out. I recommend not swimming after treating, again the oily residue.
