Important: These stools are NOT counter height!These are really nice-looking modern BAR stools and they seem sturdy enough, especially for the price. They do have some unfortunate issues, however.1. They're advertised as counter height (26" seat) but they definitely are NOT. At 29", these qualify as BAR stools. See photos for height and comparison to an actual counter-height stool.2. The black underside fabric shows from the side (see photos).3. I received all wrong legs (too many back legs, not enough front legs) in both sets I ordered. The company offered an 8 week backorder to send correct legs.Sadly had to return these...way too many problems.

Okay there weren’t any reviews on this until after I ordered it and it got one Star and made me nervous. Let me start by saying these chairs are great. I got instructions, all the pieces I needed and all the hardware. I ordered directly from the warehouse so maybe that helped, but the biggest thing is building them. DO NOT tighten the legs down first, loosely screw then in THEN screw in the foot/leg support! Then tighten everything down together! That makes things 50x easier and the instructions don’t clarify that, so I guess use this as your guide, in case you don’t get instructions, Two D legs in the back, two C legs in the front. Long screws for the chair, short ones for the legs.. that’s it. Do it all loosely and tighten all together and the building process only took me 15 minutes for both. The quality is great and with the tension given by the foot rest they are very sturdy. I weigh 160 so take that with a grain of salt, but I scooted around and leaned side to side and they were rock solid! Overall I would highly recommend the chairs for the quality you get for the money you spend, but from what I’ve seen instructions were a little iffy, if you can try to order from the factory, I usually have better luck getting everything I need the first time. Hope your experience goes as well as mine, I love these chairs!

Gorgeous! Not weak at all.. they feel sturdy. My girl built them.. without problems (in a couple of minutes). They came with NO instructions but logic will do. Two Cs’ go in front, two Ds’ in the back. The foot rest seemed difficult but leaving loose all the screws its key: you start with one screw, next the one right next to that one, and the same with the rest.. pretty simple and they look spectacular! (wish they don’t come with that white label underneath of the cushion and that the green nice fabric goes a little bit further covering that area.. the cheap black lining underneath CAN be seen if you look at them far in the distance from the sides). Would buy again.. really a bargain: $120 for a pair, not bad at all! (Edited this review to correct a couple of typos but not the info). Still pretty pleased with the purchase. Hope it helps!!! :D

These stools are beautiful and comfortable! BUT...as has been noted in other reviews, the 26" height is misleading, the actual seating height is more like 28" to 29". I am pretty handy so I was able to cut 2.5" off of the legs and adding new pads without messing them up. If you are NOT handy and you need TRUE counter-height stools, keep this in mind. Otherwise I love these stools.

We bought 4 for our kitchen. No problems for delivery. All parts were neatly packed. Assembly was a bit tricky because the 4 legs on each chair are mounted independently yet tied together at the top under the seat and at the bottom foot rest. My suggestion is to not tighten any screws until you have the chair mostly together, then tighten them one by one slowly. Some times tightening one, will cause other to be too loose or too tight. Be patient and it'll be fine. Once assembled the chairs look beautiful! Nice material and very solid. Great height for our kitchen counter. Really nice for the price. Highly recommended.Update: there's stools are holding up well after a year. But, the bolts will back out with time. I highly recommend that you use Blue Loktite when you assemble the chairs to prevent this from happening.

Firstly, the product itself is OK. The stools are a little on the flimsy side, but that is because of the minimalist look of the stools and how slim the legs are. I'm 180 lbs and was concerned that they would break under my weight, but I've gotten used to them and they seem to be holding up ok, even though I feel like I'm going to break them everytime I get out of them. I ordered these to replace the 30" bar height stools that were too high for our countertop bar, and they are just slightly too high still, measuring actually 28". Luckily, our countertops are a bit higher, at 36.5". Its bearable, and I like how they look, so we'll keep them.The customer service is slow. Based on other reviews, I was concerned there would be missing pieces, and unfortunately, there were. I ordered 2 sets (4 stools total), but only received 2 sets of hardware. Simpli Home has two numbers listed for customer service, the first one is NOT Simpli Home. The second number is Simpli Home, and an automated message will inform you that you can submit an online parts request through their website, which is what I did for my missing hardware pieces. About 2 days after submitting the parts request online, I received an e-mail from one of their customer service reps stating that they had received my request, but that it was a Friday and their hours were only M-F. And so started the slow back and forth via e-mail from Simpli Home telling me that they had processed my request, that they were fulfilling my request, and finally that they had shipped my request. I confirmed via e-mail that I needed TWO sets of hardware, just to be sure. The customer service rep confirmed that they had sent the hardware in quantity TWO. I received my package yesterday, and lo and behold, it is only one set of hardware. We will see how long it takes to get another set of hardware. From initial parts request to receipt of package was SEVENTEEN DAYS!

When searching for counter stools, I asked for swivel chairs only. This provides comfort and durability but not swivel.

Perfect bar stool! Modernized our kitchen and very comfortable. Really like the slight back rest for longer sitting periods.
